saints at home -3....texans at home -2.5...

why aren`t these consensus plays?(or at the very least amazing teaser material?)...

they aren`t...everybody is on dallas and atlanta...the public seems to be on dallas and atlanta...the line moves certainly seem to reflect that..

so far this year, the texans are light years better than dallas...dallas has a bad coach...and their qb proves time and again he comes up short in big games at crunch time...

dallas can`t go 0-3?..why not?..they can certainly go 0-3 into the bye and still make the playoffs in what has become a dodgy division.....the chargers have made slow starting in a lousy division an art form...

the texans are quite good now that they`ve added a two-headed monster running game...

is new orleans supposed to fall apart without reggie bush?...so they struggled a bit on the road vs frisco...it was on the road..."on the road" is tough in the nfl...frisco isn`t buffalo...

atlanta beating the poop out of the rudderless cardinals at home is some kind of revelation?..how many times have we seen a team put up big numbers and crap the bed offensively the very next week?...i

i sense group-think happening here...you see it often on sports forums...where a strong opinion sways folks and turns into a consensus....

are these games being over-thought?

gw, do you really think the public is all over atlanta? i can't imagine that's true. i liked atlanta when these lines came out, and i love them even more, because there's no way 'the public' loves atlanta enough to drive this line down.

i agree with houston. the more pressure there is on wade phillips to win a game, the worse his team will do.

what did the atlanta line open at?....had to be more than a trey....looks like it`s been bet down a point and a half...

i`m not trying to start a disagreement...or a controversy...not sure whether i`m touching these games....

just seems odd to me....everybody...even the supposed sharps see new orleans and houston falling on their faces....at home...

check around different forums...new orleans and houston are to gamblers what sunlight is to a vampire....

who knows...maybe the public is dead on here...

for me it`s curious...particularly atlanta after putting up 41 last week...that doesn`t usually repeat itself...

i find it curious...

right. i just don't think it is joe q public driving that line down. the defending champs, the super powerful new orleans saints, against a team that lost to the steelers with dennis dixon and beat a bad arizona team? i think the line was looking for new orleans money right from the start. hey, i've been wrong plenty of times before, and i will be wrong PLENTY of times going forward, but i really don't think they're having a hard time finding people who will wager on the saints only laying 3 at home. or even 4.5.

hell, last year they were laying 11 to the falcons at home (saints won by 8). has there really been an 8-point swing in these two teams?

that line is incredibly fishy.

I hear ya. My guess is ATL is a posh pick this week b/c due to :

1. Saints short week
2.cross-country travel
3. pedestrian offensive effort vs SF
4. loss of Reggie Bush.

I can understand #1 and #2, but you and I both know #3 is irrelevant. My link is meant to expose thr truth about #4.

GL on your plays.....

gw, this isn't a disagreement; just a couple guys trying to figure out how to win some money. :)

i don't know who is normally in that contest. i would have to think it's decent handicappers, because that can't be cheap to get into.

i'm in a pool with 40 guys where you pick each game ATS, but unfortunately i won't see it until after kickoff. we used 4.5 in the pool. i'm very curious now to see how many guys are on each team.

Atlanta is good.

Any team with offensiive line problems is going to struggle like the cowgirls are. This game is a no play..

The value on the board was gone early this week.

My card fins -1
Cle +10.5
