Hedge, raymond, skulnutz, cricket and others:

The question is this:

Why don't you care about Trump's constant lying - over 6000 verifiable lies since he took office?

Buddy summed it up really well when he said that he was willing to sacrifice his values to keep a Democrat out of the office. They could care less what the guy in the position does, as long as he's not a Democrat.

That's really sad. I guess they keep on telling each other lies about Democrats and Republicans and never stop for one minute to think.

Sad, sad, sad.

buddy can't seem to EVER remember saying that he'd sacrifice his values to keep a democrat out of office. However, if you'd show him where he used those words, knowing the kind of person he is, I'm sure he'd apologize for sounding like a hypocrite.

But given his position on the issue of gay marriage and his stance on pro-life, buddy may have said something to the effect that voting for Trump was simply a much better option than Hillary Clinton.

Regarding Trump's incessant lying -

ALL politicians are liars.
Some do it more often than others,
some with more polish and guile.

Trump is simply the liar getting the most press.

Holy fuck, Buddy just posted something intelligent. I'll go back and read it again to be sure, but it honestly sounded intelligent.

I give up.......

Perhaps some of his accomplishments should be lauded as much as everything else is distorted in the media.https://www.washingtonexaminer.com/...-in-just-20-months-relentless-promise-keeping

So you're saying that "the media" makes up the lies Trump tells?

What about yesterday? Trump said his father was born in Germany. He was actually born in NYC. You can check it out.

And just when is Mexico going to pay for that wall?

You must have been educated at Trump "University".

You didn't say you were willing to support someone that doesn't share your values as long as he could get conservative Supreme Court justices appointed?

Well, I guess this is how you justify discounting your values. You know the man is lying to you but you can always just say everyone else is a liar too. Let's not forget, Obama said you could keep your doctor, so he was just as bad, AMIRITE?

I wasn't pleased with Trump as the nominee.
It's my understanding not many conservatives were.
I was well aware of his character and his personality.
"Baby Huey" in a suit and tie.
(I've said all this before)
But given the alternative, I held my nose and voted for him.
We shared at least two values.
Both were moral issues:
1. His opposition to gay marriage
2. His stance on abortion.

His opportunity to appoint at least one conservative judge to the SC and
shine the spotlight on Roe V. Wade was an added benefit.

(Concerns with the economy are at or near bottom of things that matter to me.)

Change was what was voted for. The way the Dems have acted since has proved why people wanted that change.I just hope Trump has shown some future candidate that you don't have to be in bed with all the Washington cronies and always play the game their way.

EVERY politician running for office that stands at a podium with a microphone in hand and makes promises to their audience is a liar. Whether they are a presidential nominee or not makes no difference. Don't agree with me? Name me one that hasn't?

It has nothing to do with justifying anything.

It's what I believe. Chances are, your belief system is different.

I believe in the doctrine of original sin.
I believe man is born with a sinful nature.
That's why the bible says,

"10 As it is written,
There is none righteous, no, not one:

11 There is none that understandeth,
there is none that seeketh after God.

12 They are all gone out of the way,
they are together become unprofitable;
there is none that doeth good, no, not one.

13 Their throat is an open sepulchre;
with their tongues they have used deceit;
the poison of asps is under their lips:

14 Whose mouth is full of cursing and bitterness:

15 Their feet are swift to shed blood:

16 Destruction and misery are in their ways:

17 And the way of peace have they not known:

18 There is no fear of God before their eyes."

Your turn.

Obama also promised "Change".

But Obama was a politician and Trump a business man.

Trump transformed "Change" into "Shockingly Different".

Your turn.

I believe in being a good person for the sake of being a good person. I didn't need a book to tell me to and I don't need the fear of eternal damnation to drive me down that road either. You know who's not a good person? Someone that lies to you for their own benefit. Someone that cheats on their loved ones. Someone that treats others like crap.

One guy was handed a shit sandwich economy and helped steer us back and protect it from happening again. The other has spent two years dismantling the works of the first.

Good explanation.

You're a good person because you believe it is right.

Buddy tries to be a good person because he believes the Great Cookie Monster will punish him.

Hmmmmm.

My dog doesn't shit in the house because I have taught him that it is bad manners, not because he is afraid. I have never stuck him, nor shouted at him.

Buddy's dog doesn't shit in the house because Buddy will burn him in Eternity if he does. As proof, Buddy has shown him the jug of kerosene and the matches, and watched Buddy burn cockroaches, mice, and a few cats.

Psalm 128:1-4

How blessed is everyone who fears the LORD
The fear of the LORD prolongs life
.
Proverbs 19:23

The fear of the LORD leads to life, So that one may sleep satisfied, untouched by evil.

Proverbs 22:4

The reward of humility and the fear of the LORD Are riches, honor and life.

Proverbs 28:14

How blessed is the man who fears always,

Psalm 33:18-19

Behold, the eye of the LORD is on those who fear Him, On those who hope for His lovingkindness,

Psalm 34:7

The angel of the LORD encamps around those who fear Him,

It must really suck to Buddy, living in eternal fear.

But Buddy and his dog do have one thing in common. They are so fearful of their masters that they both have piss running down their legs.
