Does he care that he's playing in a football game tonight?Hall of fame potential but how to you characterize his attitude other than unprofessional?

Last time New Orleans was on MNF, either Fouts or Michaels said that Brooks did not do well on the NFL's Standardized Intelligence Test.

You would think that an NFL QB would need both brawn and brain.

I just wonder how Ryan Leaf did?

Brooks is a joke, he caught the league by surprise last year with a couple of wins. All he can do is throw the bomb to Joe Horn, but defenses can stop that.

Brooks has no field presence, and i was actually shocked he did anything at all last year, because he was brutal in college. He has shown his true colours just like his teammate Ricky Williams who is the biggest WIMP in the NFL. He should just retire before the whole league finds out he's a baby.

Haslett also is a joke of a coach. Does his team ever show up on national TV??

i agree, but....

as bad as it looks, this coming week may be the one for n.o., as s.f. could care less and want no potential injuries now, what with being in astroturf and the playoffs around the corner.

I am not so sure s.f. has nothing to play for. If g.bay loses and s.f. wins they will be playing home field in s.f. not the frozen tundra.... There is also a story out of N.O. about a controversy with william Roaf and Joe Horn, off the field incident that does not make for good team chemistry....

i am sort of a neophite in the playoff situation, but it looks like s.f. is third in the pecking order in the division, after st louis and chicago.

Pep, I think that g.bay and s.fran will play in a wild card, with tampa playing philly at philly. So, g.bay and s.f will be playing for home field (wild card game). That is the info that I have seen. If you pep or anyone else has another angle on this game, Let us all know. Thanks, Steve

nfl.com has the break down with all the possibilities. s.f. is not mentioned as anything but a playoff spot, whereas other teams show what they can gain/lose by their upcoming performance.

that, and looking at their records, is what i base it on, but again, i'm no expert here by any means.

Sounds like someone has gotten burned by the Saints a few times this year!!

I beg to differ cuz Ricky is one of the premier backs in the NFL. The kid, and I repeat KID has a lifetime avg. of 4 yds. per carry and probably means more to that team than any other player. He's also had to sit out quite a few games b/c of some nasty injuries. Also keep in mind that Williams hasn't exactly had the most prominent offensive line in the league....
