It now looks as if the book has been closed on the sorry Abraham-Bozic saga. I believe all the Euro books have now settled the wagers on the under 7.5 round prop and Abraham KO TKO DQ prop. I don't know if the second-round bunch have been paid or not, but I'm happy. (I think Abraham was on course to stopping Bozic, he was certainly hurting him to the body, so I do believe the under 7.5 and Abraham KO TKO DQ players had a legitimate win.) Something tells me the books won't be offering lines on a Sjtepan Bozic fight in future.

Glad that they settled. Good call on the under whther it was an honest effort by the dog or not. Glad I passeed on offering the O/u there...esp after seeing high totals available.

Hopefully there were no shinanigans on the bout no matter how bad it looked in hindsight in ring and on paper...at the sportsbooks that may have been stung a bit.

Briggs/Green, Seldon/Tyson, Feilds/Williams ....all bouts that come to mind when a guy gave a 'less' than honest effort that had paper trails.

The money usually doesnt lie, but for the sake of the sport and the people that hate on boxing this getting swept under rug quickly is prob a good thing considering Abraham is one of the better success stories and recognizable non heavyweight boxers outa a German stable.

In this case, bad press woulda been.... bad press...boxing doenst need anymore of that...

I didnt know the euros were withholding funds untill you posted. The Central Amer sportsbooks and 1 carib book I play at all settled the under 7.5 and 9.5 rds a winner that night.

***cringes at thoughts of upcoming Mayorga bout**

Good luck this week GH. All the best and keep hammering away at them. - JO

They must be the last to pay

They must be the last to pay

I havent been paid by Boyle yet!

Boylesports must be the last to pay, then. I was told on good authority that everyone would get paid. I guess it is just a matter of being patient, irritating though it is. The ESSA is the "problem" here; they monitor irregular betting patterns on all sports -- cricket, tennis, soccer, whatever, not just boxing -- and they have the authority to in effect get the European bookies to put a freeze on wagers when something suspicious crops up. A polite note to Boylesports pointing out that competitors have settled and that you are getting a bit concerned might not go amiss but keep it low key. As Joey once advised board members, you catch more flies with honey than with vinegar when in communication with the sportsbooks.

I am also waiting for Boyle to settle the Abraham bet. Looks like they are the only ones that have not settled it!
