Absolutely love this event; however, with the change of venue and my limited exposure to golf to this point in '07, wanted to take it easy for today's first round

Can't get away from this one though, as I think the price is definitely right:

Yong-Eun Yang +135 over Rod Pampling

Don't think many will side with Yang in this one due to a lack of familiarity with him - beat a solid field (including Tiger) in the 1st Euro stop this season which was at the end of '06 / looks like he was competing in a team play event at the beginning of this calendar year which may bode well for match-play setup / Also went to Q-school at the end of '06 and didn't quite make it through the grind / Pampling has been rather ordinary in 5 PGA events with a best of T22 coming back in Hawaii / Has played well in this event in the past which will most likely draw $$ his way / different course now and nothing in either player's form suggests either one of these players should be laying 165

I'll start off slow and play 2 units on Yang +135

Will definitely be back with more as this tourney has been really good to me in the past

Thanks parlayinn - Yang seems to have needed a little more than luck though

Total misread on the matchup - should have stuck to my guns and let the 1st day play out before making any wagers

Oh well - still a lot of tourney left - back later with tom's plays

2nd round matchups:

Micheel -115 over Pampling

62 seed a pick'em vs 35 seed? That's because 62 seed bested Adam Scott in a tough match while Pampling basically received a walkthrough against Yang - Micheel developing nice match play resume - Pampling made a couple of birdies late in his match but won early holes with pars after bogeying the Par 5 1st - hoping for Shaun to take an early lead and use his toughness to finish the match off

O'Hern -130 over Sabbatini

Rory also got off to slow start and combined a solid finish with a few Howell bogeys to pull off the win - O'Hern played bogey-free golf in his win over Glover - hate laying the juice but you don't have to pay it if you win

Poulter -145 over Dredge

Els played dreadful golf Wed and most facing him would have advanced; Dredge did nothing special - Poulter was 5-under through 14 when he disposed of Bryant

Again, hate laying the juice but these are 3 I think will win - 3 guys that played really well and who seemed to have taken a liking to the course - vs - 3 guys who didn't play that well but moved on b/c their opponents sucked

5 units each

GL no matter which golfers you choose

Thanks Marra - playing at least these 2 today:

Ames +105 over Cink
Stenson -155 over Baddeley

Ames putting well and I think he has something to prove in this tourney - probably didn't like being the butt of the jokes in relation to Tiger situation LY - came into the AMP in what seemed to be poor form but I can't help but think he was looking ahead to this week a little bit - Cink obviously ultra-solid player, but thinking here is that Ames will be able to make more birdies today

Also really like Baddeley's game but like Stenson's even better - also give the experience edge to Stenson as he's been on some of the bigger stages in golf - believe Stenson is 1st this week in GIR and think Badds will be a little shaky throughout today

As far as Howell, think he might be in for a long day today - Rose is rolling the ball extremely well (not that CHIII isn't) and seems to have found another level in his game (not that CHIII hasn't) - thing is that at some point Howell will become mentally tired, if not physically winded as well - and if CHIII does get the win today he will be a great fade tom vs Poulter/Immelman winner -

As a matter of fact I think I just talked myself into it

Rose +100 over III

Playing 5 units on each - if III wins I will play at least 10 units against him tom

As always, good luck

Thanks for the help AS - have to like Stenson tom. / O'Hern off the Tiger win and Stenson playing the best golf in the tourney

Also like Ames - think Campbell will run out of steam

Refuse to bet aginst Ogilvy but contrarian in me says Casey

Will not bet against Rose or Immelman

Playing Ames -110 / Stenson -160

5 units each

As always, good luck
