I'm not sure if this chit makes any sense, but I'm gonna' put it out here anyway.

I'm gonna' assume that teams in much smaller, weaker conferences do not have the experienced coaching staffs, bb IQ type players, recruiting power, etc. that larger schools have.

If that is true, can we then assume that their quality of play would be more inconsistent than larger Div -1 schools?

If inconsistency and fundamental mistakes are characteristic of smaller conference play, wouldn't the predicted outcome of any of these games be more difficult to determine than a larger conference which has greater basketball resources?

Actually, I would disagree and assert that it might be the other way around. Top level teams have a higher range of potential IMO because they could play incredibly horrible one night yet come out on fire and completely blow out another top team on another night. However, crappy, smaller schools in weaker conferences are unable to reach the level of play that top level programs can. So basically if quality of play was rated on a scale of 1 to 10, the top level programs on a given night might be able to hit between 3 and 10 while lower level programs could hit between 1 and 5.

Guess it all depends on how you look at it!

For me, I'm afraid of the added games in hoops. These guys IMO can be bought for very little money and shaving could happen. I would sooner bet on Jai Alai

I would have to agree w/Nickelback. I think the smaller schools are more likely to recruit the solid fundamental players who maybe don't have the athletisism that the big time schools get. But the more athletic players seem to have more spectacular highs but also unpredicatable lackluster efforts.

i love the added games-seem to follow trends better and lines seem to be off more as i don't think vegas knows as much about them and feel they don't get as many players on them so don't tweak the lines as much--they usually stay where they come out. dogs have been very good in these games espeically if double digit--gl
