Anyone who thinks it's legally OK in this era to hit a 4-year old with an object to the point of drawing blood and bruises is an ignorant fool. Old-timers can complain all they want about the softening of our society, but this is well established.

Article says......

The doctor told investigators that the boy had a number of lacerations on his thighs, along with bruise-like marks on his lower back and buttocks and cuts on his hand.

The police report says the doctor described some of the marks as open wounds and termed it "child abuse." Another examiner agreed, calling the cuts "extensive."

Only a couple guys I've had a conversation with outside of football and Auburn players. Peyton Manning and Adrian Peterson. Unfortunate to hear this.

Yet another quality individual that plays in the NFL.

You have to be a real piece of shit to do that to a 4 year old boy.

On the course!
Once again, it takes one of the nations 'sports heroes' to make people gasp at something that goes on every day to hundreds, if not thousands, of children in this country.

Peterson lost a son (passed) last year allegedly due to the abuse of the child by another man.

That's excessive. I've spanked my kids a total of 3 times and each time afterwards I felt like shit. You can tell AP even knew it was wrong from the content of his texts.

What is your point exactly?

The point is people get all up in arms when an athlete does something like this but shouldn't they be up in arms about child abuse anyway?

Problem is not sure what you can do about it.. Just like with the domestic violence thing. If someone is asshole enough to hit a woman all the public campaigning against domestic violence in the world isnt going to stop that person from doing it.

That you wouldn't, and DON'T, give two fucks about this, otherwise. Next week, you'll have something else to be incredulous about, and won't remember this situation even happened. Just like everyone else.

Disgusting, I cannot find one good reason why an adult would have to resort to violence to discipline a child.
