:(

DTB:

Every fall I dramatically shift gears in my capping, from golf to football, so I can certainly appreciate taking a substantial break from "hardcore" golf capping - for a month or a year or whatever. But I know you are passionate about the game, so I'm sure that going forward there will be many times, regardless of the "regularity" of your future wagering on your own time, when you will certainly have some strong angle or opinion or trend that will be very much worth contributing to the forum. Myself, I've always popped in during the fall season with a few offerings, even though my immersion level and due diligence is not up to full standards . . . So take a good long break, even a permanent change in your level of involvement, but please don't be anything like a stranger. You have too much to offer your friends at Madjacks, even with half an effort. :142hail:

It sure won't be the same around here without your presence on a regular basis. So how's about you just change your mind? :SIB

Fairways and greens, and hole your share of putts. Cheers!!! :toast:

Agree with LIA's comments......dont be a stranger Wayne. Your angles are unique, and your results second to none.

Round 1 plays (2pts):

Paula Creamer to beat Angela Stanford -125 @ Five Dimes

Cristie Kerr to beat Angela Stanford -102 @ Unibet [available widely]

Enjoy the break from it, Wayne. I'm sure you'll pop by from time to time and maybe even re-find your enthusiasm, so there's no way to say our goodbyes just now.

DTB ... what a golf punter should be: a true gent on and off the course :toast:

Geez guys:mj1:

I will certainly be around on regular basis --have never had day pass when I was online I can remember that I didn't check in to see what golf crew was up to--and don't think that will change.
Too much commraderie from this crew.

I thought about it- I had intended to go 10 years but decision was based on couple of things.

Mainly was lack of enthusiam of prior years and failure on my part to continue doing the homework of past years necessary--this year.

08 was 1st year I did not track weather per tee times (am/pm) on players--did not sit down with notebook making notes while viewing tourney.

Normally spend december adjusting data from past years--and update tourney master sheet with notes from 08. This year have little to update because of lack of effort on my part.
Use to know about what times lines were dropped at certain books--and would be there waiting with anticipation as they were dropped.

The damper of enthusiam certainly was not related to the game of golf--but mainly the books getting much better #'s than previously. Used to be would have 50 or so wagers isolated per diff angles to narrow down to maybe 20 to 30 wagers-
Now lucky to get 10 wagers that qualify to even consider.

Have always liked method of many small wagers on large selection of plays vs larger wagers on fewer plays. This year almost identicle to last year winning % but profits bout 1/2 due to lack of volumn of plays.

Still a few profitable angles left that the books overlook but not many IMO-wish privite message was activated as would like to share some with several here but not with books who are looking in. :)

Nothing will change on my participating in golf forum--your not getting rid of me that easily :)

DTB -- glad to hear you still will be popping in from time to time and hope you enjoy your extra time that will free up for you. While I don't play the womens golf too much, I respect your knowledge and your record proves the due dilligence you obviously put in to secure such a record. If you are ever able to share some of your knowledge and tips privately (I agree...not to be shared with the books), then I would be very appreciative to hear anything you may offer.

The two woman golfers I follow are Natalie Gulbis (because she's so damn cute) and Jeong Jang (neighbor of a friend although she is moving). They both seem to be capable putters in my mind. Is there anything you can share on Jeong Jang to look for either for (preferably) or against as I do make occasional plays on her? Thanks if you are able to share anything on her and also thanks for all you have shared with us to date.

Strange happenings this tourney--would give course form and pressure of final big touney extra weight here but three on top of list IMO sorestam-Ochoa-Kerr all miss cut.

Don't know what I hate more -140 odds or ties ties lose but going with --

1. Golf - ADT Championship November 20 - 23, 2008
Round 3 Matchups
Ji Yai Shin vs Sun Young Yoo
Ji Yai Shin (-140) [pending]

-@ Oly today. Had won bout 80% of rds over Yoo (13-3) before this tourney and Shin been great under pressure in past--flip side Yoo been very good also when in contention.

Chip-- on Jang and Gulbis
Wager quite a bit on Jang as she very high cut ratio and is usually there on saturday--been hampered by wrist injury this year-but still making cuts.

Gulbis I generally look to fade as has many irons in fire in the "celeb world" most have concluded same though and not many wagering opportunities this year.
