Looks like they want to stay and play. Have to think the ufc guys see these payouts and will rethink about signing with the ufc unless Dana opens up the vault a tad. That, of course if Affliction survives. All over a tee shirt :mj07:

Sponge as I have said many times......these payouts mean very little......they don't include all the "other ways" the fighters make money. For example Fedor made way way more then 300 grand, more along the lines of 1.8 to 2 million for the fight.

And as for the "low pay" UFC fighters make.......when you see the "salaries" released, take the amount and multiply it by 2.5 to 3.5 and you'll get an idea as to the "real salary".

Chuck, Anderson, GSP, Randy and others are doing very very well I assure you. The "locker room" bonuses, don't forget about them.

Now with all that being said......Affliction ain't going to last more then 2 years if you pay that kind of money and lose millions on every card. I hope I am wrong, I am all for more MMA fights, and good MMA fights. But paying Rothwell and Lindland that kind of money is silly. You pay those guys that kind of money and you don't have a "internet pay feed" is beyond stupid.

Affliction ?Banned? Paid Attendance/Gross Receipts:
$2,085,510

Affliction ?Banned? Fighter Payroll*:
$3,321,000
(way higher then 3.321 million by the way)

They better hope that they got a ton of PPV buys:scared

Oh and Tim ain't dumb......nice payday for under 40 seconds of work. :mj07:

If Affliction and M1 can somehow get a Randy/Fedor fight....that is when they'll make the money, that is if they make some smarter business decisions. Man I'd pay a ton to watch that fight:scared

Matt Lindland 300k :mj07:. I can't get over that, one of the most boring fighters in the history, im really sure he put more ppl in there seats, and ppv buys. :0corn Mini Nog making the same as Mike Whitehead :142smilie.

That's a lot of T-Shirt Sales :dizzy:

I don't see how they can last if they are shelling out that kind of money, but i hope they do :mj09:

What about their sponsor dollars? Have to be more than a million dollars.

Kick im aware of the contracts. Why with Fedors price so low i didn't comment on it. What i don't understand is a hard core MMA guy like yourself seems like you want them to fail:shrug: and let the UFC be the king. I want them both to succeed because that is in the fans best interest. For the first show i thought it was pretty good. Sure there were mistakes but boy give them a chance. If Dana was a real prick he would do everything in his power to sign Fedor and this would be a huge blow. Im not to sure Fedor is signed or if he is, for how long.

I heard they made 100 million last year in sales so it looks like they have enough cash to make it a go for now. If this organizations goal is to make more then the UFC then they will fail. If profit isn't the only goal then they have a shot. Nobody likes losing money but some guys don't need to make every last dime they can. Like Marc Cuban who actually is a fan as well as a businessman.

Salaries in ALL MMA events have been a GREAT UNKNOWN which is why Randy and Tito have had issues. What a guy makes for fighting and what he actually gets for everything he does is really impossible to say from one fighter to another.

Not sure why Lindland would get 300K when you could get him for about 40K. UFC wouldn't give him 1K to fight with them again.

Sponge...you are banned for 52 minutes for not reading what I said above....I do not want them to fail, sheesh:nono: They have made some big mistakes, but that can be over-come, they have potential that's for sure:scared

As for my fight salary, I am currently fighting this annoying deer fly that keeps biting my head....I am thinking of tapping out and settling for my 3 dollars and giving up on my potential win bonus.

(this fly has a win over Kimbo)
