Nice hit last night mate. Like your roos + the points vs port along with the cats only giving up a goal against the blues. I bet you're looking forward to next week paw. Enjoy the weekend of footy.

Sydney -17.5 (2.04)

After a regulation tight, close game v. West Coast, Sydney now get to play one of the worst teams in the comp.
Last week Richmond allowed Carlton 60 Inside 50's (had just 41 themselves), and gave up 32 shots at goal...and the result would have (should have!) been a hell of a lot different if Carlton had kicked straight, and Richmond hadn't have! (15.7 for them)
Sydney pretty much dominated the West Coast midfield last week too, gaining 55 I50's to 35!!, but inaccuaracy and indecision up forward cost them.
I doubt that will happen this week, and the Swans should be able to win this game very easily.
They are away from home, but have won 5 of the last 6 at the MCG (losing only the Grand Final to WC by a point, and Richmond have lost 5 of their last 6 there, winning only as favs last season v. a depleted Essendon.

Also leaning towards Geelong tonight, and given some form of logic (which, granted the AFL is not big on!!), Hawthron +12.5 looks appealing with Dixon and Crawford back for the Hawks, and McLean out for Melbourne.

So, I guess you "survived" the 21st last week Pawa! :00hour
Things are all good further South Coops...still waiting on word of a job offer to hopefully move into Pawa's territory around July/August...
...well, unlikely to move in on his territory exactly!! I'm well passed the putting-up-with-young-party-chicks stage! :mj07: LOL!

the land of confusion
Yes Coops, my Roos getting +30.5 start versus a team we have 'owned' since their inception into the league is a juicy bet! We will put up a fight over there. Bigger than an action play on this one :SIB

Ya cant get me involved in the Carlton v Geelong game tho.

Was tempted by Sydney giving the start and Christo's numbers have pushed me into playing them small.

Hey don't knock the 'party chicks' Christo....When you get to my age you'll wanna go back there!! If not to feel young again. (man, my back is feeling sore! :mj07: )

Dogs v. Crows under 182.5 (7 units@ 2.70)
183-202 (3 units @ 3.00)

Effectively gives 1.80 for the under and $ back for slightly over.
The Crows are impotent up forward, and have scored 100 just once in their last 9 games (going back to last year obviously)
Now with injuries to their most productive forwards give them even less of a chance to kick a decent score.
Obviously the Dogs love to run and score, but 17.11 last week was a bit overblown, with Johnson kicking 8, and they only kicked 6.4 after half time.
Adelaide are stil one of the most defensive teams in the AFL...allowed just 42 I50's last week, which was pretty much their av. from last year...Geelong allowed over 49...so it's tough to see the Doggies kicking too much over 100 here.

Melbourne v. Hawthorn over 196.5 (7 units@ 2.70)
176-195 (3 units @ 3.00)

Effectively gives 1.80 for the over and $ back for slightly less.

Melbourne off a game with St. Kilda, who are clearly far more defensive minded this season, and Hawthorn off Brisbane who appear to be more than happy to flood back and slowly, patiently work the ball up the ground...all have given a total which is a bit too low here.

Last 6 meetings have been 197 (last year), 217, 170, 189, 229 & 206.
Hawthorn have allowed 100+ in 8 of their last 10 at the MCG @ 109.
Another reason for the low total is Melbuorne's lack of scoring, in their last 5 they have av'd just 83 ppg...but two of those (inc. last week) were against the solid defense of the Saints, @ Geelong, @ Adealide and @ Freo!
Dixon and Crawford back will help the Hawks' attack, and I don't think Melbourne can really match-up well with their quick forward line with Williams, Franklin and Dixon all running around.
Should be some scoring on a fine, sunny day at the 'G.
