the land of confusion
Season to date: 12 - 9 @ 57% --- Bank = 78%

Two eligible selections from the system this week. One old school, one hybrid.

First selection is played at the 'G' on Saturday arvo between the Melbourne Demons and the visiting West Coast Eagles. Dees coming off the short break is a concern as is the loss of captain Neitz. The Eagles suspect on the road after a couple of average performances away from their nest. Take the....
Melbourne ML versus West Coast

The other is a hybrid over 15.5 for Sunday's game up in the north. The visiting Geelong are missing a few important players at this point and a trip to the Gabba is not the place to be when the Lions are on the rise. The line for this game is around the +15 point mark so I'm suggesting that Brisbane cover the spread. Plus Brissy to lose a sixth straight game at home?? Yeah right!!
Brisbane to beat Geelong over 15.5pts

Like em' both paw! Don't know if that's a good thing or thing at the moment considering the way things have been going of late!

Undermanned Cats were never in the hunt, though I still expect they will come good in the second half of the season and be there on that last day in September.

Bank took a few head shots but didn't drop to the canvas.

Season to date: 13 - 10 @ 56.5% --- Bank = 68.8%

With just two games this weekend to finish off the split-round, I wasn't expecting to have a play. But on closer inspection one of the games qualifies in the hybrid theory.

Tonights game at the Dome.

IS

My hybrid figures suggest that the Saints win by 16 or more, which I can get in a "tri-bet" category for a lesser return at a couple of Australian books here. The line is -21.5 everywhere which is very close and one that myself and Christo (in the other thread) like anyway.
The Saints beat them by 34 and 35 at this ground the last two occasions played here.

Ultimately its your call mate.

I would take it if that was all I could get. But my record is based on the "tri-bet".

It must be remembered that Essendon are trash and the Saints are a "contender". (sorry bomber!! :D )

Don't be sorry pawa! I know you guys had a loss tonight but you can rest assured that one of us enjoyed the result. Watched it with a mate who is a huge saints supporter which couldn't have thrilled me more. Now, for your boys next week- here come the dons!!

The Saints just aren't taking this football stuff seriously. On that performance, they ain't no contender thats for sure. Essendon were very committed for Lloyd's 200th game.

Season to date: 13 - 11 @ 54% --- Bank = 55%

Halfway mark of the season and it's time to review the hybrid version. 4 wins / 4 losses just isn't doing enough for the bankroll and it has actually cost me 48%. Running without those 8 plays would have had me at 9 - 7 and a bank of 103.7%. Nothing stunning but still in the black. In a season where faves are performing so poorly it's no wonder that the hybrid is stinking it up.

Consider the hybrid flushed. :flush:

Nothing but pure Express plays from here on in.

Bomber....your dons can come on down and pick up their free can of "Roo whip-ass" which my guys will gladly be distributing at the Dome next week. You know they don't have the style brother!! :fingerc:

wtf happened?

15 up and cruising with 6 minutes left in the 3rd....

Geez, I thought their defensive 'flaws' would be fixed with McGuire playing well and Penny back.

Hey, all of a sudden we're right back in this bet of ours, bomber. :D

You're right 'C'. There's a glimmer of hope for the both of us if the dons can sneak past the roos next week. "Roo whip-ass" ay paw? I'll go as far as to say that if my boys can take the same amount of intensity in to next week as they had last night then it's going to be a little reversal of result in regards to last years game paw, me thinks! Fletcher will be back to keep Thompson under control also.
You guys firing at tonight's game? Should be a decent game.

Only thing being fired tonight will be me as a boyfriend!

Missus working 'til 11, only to come home to me drunk and a houseful of guys watching footy/cricket.
Hopefully I'll be too drunk to see the look on her face! :D

Will be interested to see next weeks lines...pretty dodgy just looking at the fixtures....
..and come on you two, I want a prediction for the Eagles line!

LMAO! He, he! Streaks are there to be broken pawa and the 'two wins in-a-row' will change soon enough my friend! BTW, you used the same 'smilie' (crying) last year after my boys went down to your mob so I'm glad you've thrown it out there nice and early this year. Spruik!
Christo, I reckon the line will be set at around -47.5 for the coasters game against the blues. Looking forward to hearing about the Mrs comments after your little sha-bang with the boys tonight also.

Put it this way, bomber, it's currently 5.08, and all I've done is got up and had a 20 minute shower!!

The gf went to work at 3, but the rest of her stuff still seems to be here, so that must be a good sign! :D

Very, VERY sore head right now...
