Can definitely see Sydney getting the 'W' up there against the cats this week but waiting to check the spread. Think the showdown will be exactly that but siding with Adelaide to avoid a straight sets disaster after reeling in the minor premiership. Think they bounce back to win a close game against there rivals this weekend. Maybe a multi on the two ML's is the play here.

I think both lines are about right this weekend so probably won't be having any plays.

Sydney should beat Geelong but not prepared to lay 4 goals.
Adelaide vs Port Adelaide looks close to a 50/50 contest - would consider backing Port Adelaide if they drift in the betting.

Will check out the totals and disposal matchups to see if there is any value with them.

Received our Grand Final tickets today and planning a huge weekend with plenty time at Crown Casino :D

OK....I'm over last weeks Kangaroo culling at the dome!! Realistically we would have been beaten by Adelaide this week anyway.

I'm spewing that my system numbers went 3-0 on the games and I didn't use them at all. :mj01:
What a knucklehead!!

I was saying to bombercoops yesterday that I can picture a low scoring affair in Sydney on Friday night and that I would be going both teams Under 39.5 to skim the profit. But after running the numbers lastnight I find Geelong coming up as an eligible system play. What to do??......22.5pts start is pretty tempting.
The Cats have tightened up on defense over the last month as they start to get a little healthier on the paddock. They might run the Swans close.

I reckon Adelaide will beat Port....as this week Port will go up against a defense that is somewhat stronger than the "paperwall" that my Kangaroos offered up last week!! Ricciuto back makes a hell of a difference too. Him being suspended last week is probably the reason they even have to play this week.

Yep, Adelaide for mine this week also. I bet the city is pumping this week leading up to the showdown.
BTW Christo, where abouts in Tassie do you live mate? May be down there for work in the coming weeks.

I've got nothing this week, tbh, PAWA!

Cracked the sooks! :D

Na. I quite like the Cats as dogs (huh?) too, but just too many variables in the two games this week for my liking.

Geelong have been crap....2 big wins against a disinterested Eagles at home and last week against the worst finals team ever!
Now, how much has thathad to do with injuries, I don't know. Enright back this week will certainly help.
How much did last week take out of Sydney? Historically tough to back up from Subi, let alone when you flood your arse off all night!

Bottom 4 sides are usually a good go-against this week, but taking Sydney minus any amount of points is always scary.

Seriously considering under 162 tho. (with a saver on under 163-182)
Sydney's last 7 home games have gone; 165 (v. a defenseless Kangas), 155, 156, 182 (Freo), 165 (Bulldogs), 114 & 154.
Geelong are a much better team defensively with Harley back and playing well.
I think both defenses match up well with both attacks, and there could be a bit of wind about.

Also interesting to note that Sydney's last 4 finals have gone under this number, and Geelong last 7 finals have gone; 177, 159, 138, 179, 175, 144 and 140.

Ya had to add that bit....didn't ya!! :grins:

I'll have a small "tv action" play on the Cats. Expecting the system to go 4 - zip during Finals is asking too much historically, but ya never know.

Shit....too much sport this weekend with cricket, F1, V8 supercars, NFL, college (thanks again bomber! :thumb: ), US Open, NRL & AFL

I'm going to have to jam matchsticks under my eyelids and drip-feed the coffee to stay up for it all.

I cannot believe Sydney got up with what....5 seconds to go?!! :scared

What a winning goal by Davis!!

Those poor bastard Cats!! They simply didn't deserve to lose. King getting injured hurt them in the second half.

There goes my 34/1 flag hopes!! :cursin:

Swans will struggle to get back up for the Saints next week you'd reckon.

System 4-0 in the finals........now it decides to come out and play! :wtf:

Yeah, I got your mail Coops.....but in an unreadable format!!! I had to try opening it thru different programs and eventually had to settle for reading it in a format that looks like an old Russian war code! What the fawk are ya doing to me? LOL :mj13:

I'm not sure who had the easiest bet last night, PAWA.
Neither of us looked like losing after 10 minutes of play! :mj14:

(I'd like to send a warm hello to the SCG groundsman who decided to water the ground in the afternoon!! :mj07: )

I got your mail too, bomber. Cheers mate...I can even read it!!...But for some reason an 'S', becomes a '’s' :D

On the NFL front, might I suggest you jump on Jax/Seattle under 39 asap....Jacksonville....meet Ophelia ;)

Sydney scrape home to keep my multi in the hunt with the crows still to come. Cats should have won that game, but then again, Sydney should have beat west coast last week also. Great skill by Davis to kick that goal!
Yeh, not sure what's doing with Dr Bob's little algerbraic equations! I figured you guys would like his breakdown of stats etc. tho!

That last quarter by Nick Davis last night must go down as one of the greatest individual quarters in AFL history - still can't believe Sydney got away with the win but they will have to show major improvement if they expect to compete with St Kilda next week.

Port Adelaide have drifted enough to make the line well worth a play now.

Port Adelaide +6.5 vs Adelaide (1.5 units)

Only 3 games of AFL left after tonight

At least the NFL is underway - still crunching some numbers but have a strong lean on Kansas City vs NY Jets Over 47.
