Should be a ripper this weekend and am looking forward to seeing my first live game for a couple of months. This would have to be the one of the closest match-ups for a while in a grand final. How do you victorians feel about two interstate teams in the 'finale' paw?? Think brisbane gets it done 'again' IMO in a close one. Will be interesting to see how port handles the nerves early. Brisbane with some injury clouds but when has that stopped them in recent times!

Busy week Bomber!!!

I'm happy to give the little over 2 goals start to Port!!

Port looked happy just to finally make it through to the BIG GAME. I think they played their Grand final last week when they overcame a persistant Saints outfit.

The "Brisbane Machine" will equal the "4-peat" set by Collingwood back in the late 1920's!!

Port will probably make a game of it for 2 to 2 1/2 quarters before the Lions roll on.

"3 in a row" Brisbane Lions soon to make it "4 in a row"!!

I hope it's a good game like the 2 gems we got last weekend.

Adelaide Australia
It feels like it has been a long week over here in Adelaide with the build up by Port supporters to the match.

Being an Adelaide supporter can't bring myself to support Port and will be hoping for another Brisbane win.

Port barely scraped through against St Kilda and had Gehrig not kicked his 100th goal may not have been able to regroup and get back into the match.

Brisbane, on the other hand, never looked like losing to me and always looked like they could turn it on and do enough if and when it was required.

If Port start like last week Brisbane may be 4-5 goals up before Port even realise there is a match on.

Play
Brisbane -15.5 d Port (2 Units)

The King is dead!!!

Port upset the champs with a great all-game high pressure effort. Brisbane couldn't really get their game into gear and they simply didn't have the legs to stay with Port.
It was good to see ex-roo Pickett collect the best on ground medal after a great game.

Beasty.......I reckon it will be unbearable to live in your city for the next 6 months!!! (if not all of the time :142lmao: )

Great game. Thought it would have come down to the wire, but like you said paw, brisbane simply ran out of legs. Good to see someone else win it for a change.
