Well it has been a tough week to pick winners on the AFL, and I am glad that I didn't get around to posting my picks !!

But today is a new day. I can't see too much value around but I do think Hawthorn ($1.65) and St Kilda ($1.33) will both win their matches today. Perhaps take them in a Parlay ($2.19) to salvage some value.

I hope you are right Cartman! I took Hwathorn and St. Kilde in a money line parlay at Olympic.

I quadruple quintupled up my bet to cover my lossed in aussie football, baseball and soccer this week.

Always a glutton for punishment and preparing for a royal a** kicking if this one loses!

Trying to stay unemotional and detached as I piss my money away!

Tough couple of days at the office(Icould not get a winner if I tried).....So don't worry Azrusty your not the only one who has got a arse wipping this weekend.As i play two team parlays often at the line it has been a disaster .

What a shocking effort they layed down like poodles not bulldogs

St.Kilda -22.5 loss

The less said about this one the better I am still smarting.For a team rated by many as this years big improvers after todays effort they will be lucky to win six games for the year,I think it may be wise to lay of until the team gels which may be never.To not cover the spread let alone be beaten by a team which most likely will not win in Melbourne again this year must be disheartening for the St.kilda faithful

Finally a winning pick blew Adeliade away as most suspected

Weekend results so far 1-2
Praying on a Geelong victory to atleast salvage a 2-2 for the weekend

one point about saints at colonial- lotta close games and until they learn to play, something to consider - was out today, so not much punting, but saw a little bit

The other thing to consider in hindsight is that $1.33 is rarely good value for an "average side" (which St Kilda certainly are at the moment). If you are going to take those sort of odds you would be wanting a "strong team" against a "weak team".

But hindsight is a lovely thing, and it is a great shame we don't have it before we place our bets !!!!

Yep - thought any value was with Eagles, but didn't bet it either.
