the land of confusion
Just four teams left in it and tonight my Roos take on West Coast over in Perth. The Coasters are resting Judd and Embley while we leave behind Rocca and Archer.

My guys are every chance to win this thing outright, so having been offered the +18.5 points start is too good to pass up. A small play only because of the 17/1 I took 2 weeks ago when the 16 teams were still in it.

I expect to keep on rolling into next weeks Pre-season Grand Final.

:director: Get on board folks!!

:bigun: Go ROOS!!!

Interesting matchup tonight.

West Coast have Cousins back ? with Judd & Embley resting
Kangaroos have Colbert & Thompson returning ? with Archer & Rocca not making the trip east

On the surface would have a slight lean on Kangaroos +16.5 ? but just a bit too much respect for the West Coast at home so will give this game a miss.

I am liking the Wstn Bulldogs +12.5 tomorrow ? thought they would start slight outsiders against Carlton but pleasantly surprised by the line ? will wait until tomorrow to make a final decision on that game.

Well....I'm in a state of shock after watching West Coast dismantle what had been a pretty impressive Kangaroos lineup over the last couple of weeks. We had comfortably beaten last season's best and 4th best teams and headed west tonight full of confidence.

This Eagles team is the real deal and can expect to play a prominent part come September finals time.
They just kept running all night and their halfback line was a virtual brickwall that our forwards just couldn't get past!! :cursin:

They didn't show any mercy and went for the kill in the last quarter.

I think we won't be the only team to get 'hammered' in Perth this season. I just hope this won't shatter the Kangaroos mentality come the season proper in a few weeks time.

I need to go now...and get back to my :drinky:

Pawa - I agree with your comments on the West Coast - I posted a few weeks back that I thought this team might be a genuine premiership threat and whilst it is hard to get carried away with wins over Fremantle/Collingwood/Kangaroos you have to like the way are winning (especially with no Judd or Embley last night).

One play tonight:

Wstn Bulldogs +11.5 vs Carlton (2 units)
