Firstly, sorry to hear about your, er, situation bomber. We've all been there (break-ups that is, not your missus! :D). Tough time, I know, but hopefully everything will work out for the best. :toast:

Doggies +29.5

Definate play here.
Firstly, out-doors. Saints only 2-7 last year in outdoor venues. One win by 23 at this same ground over a poor Adelaide, the other by 51 over Sydney in the 2nd semi.

You are right, PAWA, by saying that the Dogs win last week was over a Sydney team missing 11 starters, but they (Sydney) did compensate by clogging the game up with lots of numbers around the ball and in the back half. Very scrappy game. Doggies looked good when out running, and this is a big ground down here, should be plenty of space.

St. Kilda were lucky in the end to scrape passed Hawthorn last week. They looked ok in the middle, but really missed Gehrig up forward. He'll be out again this week.

And, of course, the Doggies beat St. Kilda at the MCG last season by 23 points.

Actually like the Dogs chances of pulling out a win here...I'll be very surprised if they don't stay within 5 goals.

On a side note, I'll be there too. Looking forward to seeing the boys live for the first time this year.

Kangaroos 2.30

Kangas are 8 of 9 against Port, the only loss was in Adelaide in 2003, and the Kangas won by 92 in Melbourne last year as big dogs.
Kangaroos always take games seriously, and Port might just not be as hungry.
Kanga's definately worth a shot at these odds...Right PAWA?

P.S. bomber....I emailed PAWA a couple of weeks back and was tentatively thinking of coming over to Melbourne for Round 8.
The GF goes for Melbourne, and they play Hawthorn at the 'G on Saturday...Dogs play Kangas that night at the dome....and I've just looked and Essendon play Freo at the dome on Sunday.

I know now's not the greatest time for you to make medium range plans, but I'm sure we can all organise something along the line.

Cheers mate.

I'll follow you in for a small play on your Bulldogs + points Christo!!

Roos are a certain play given that Port are our 'bitch', especially in Melbourne. :142hump:

Bulldogs win it in a nail-biter after almost throwing it away in that last quarter. The line win was never really in doubt. Great call on your guys Christo.

I'm tipping he's out celebrating the win! Good on ya mate :mj14:

On a side note though.....when did Tasmania discover high voltage lighting for night games?? I thought you guys were still running with candle power!!

Thanks christo! Tough situation but I'll make it. You're idea of going to Melbourne in Rd. 8 sounds like something we need to organise as it approaches. Nice win on the dogs last night also fellas!

Not bothering to take the +7.5pt start on my Roos. I've simply doubled them with West Coast to beat Collingwood @ $2.96

Kangaroos & W.C to bring home the bacon!!

:director: GO ROOS!!!

:box2: :Yep: :em71:

Good win by the Wstn Bulldogs last night - only early days but looks like Rodney Eades has built some self belief in this group that hasn't been evident in the past few years.

Have a slight lean on Kangaroos +8.5 and Collingwood +20.5 in tonights games but not enough to pull the trigger on either.

Very keen on Melbourne tomorrow - both teams will be taking this match seriously but I think Melbourne will be a bit too classy.

Melbourne @ $1.73 for 2 units

Port may be the reigning champs....but they remain our bitch!! :mj07:
37 scoring shots to 15 reflects what should have really been a 10 goal win.

West Coast home in a canter. Mind you I'm not happy with my Roos having to travel over to Perth for next weeks semi-final.

Nice way to start the season paw! As far as port remaining the roos 'bitch', you guys would have to be about the only team who can say that me thinks. Next week will be testing for them in Perth though.

Was a great weekend of footy for all by the looks....well, if we choose not to count Essendon's 80 point belting!

The game Friday night was sensational to watch...helped by the result of course!

Have yet to see the Kangaroo game, PAWA, but looks like they pulled away late.

Should be 2 decent games next week....We better ease up a bit, I think we're gunna start favs v. Collingwood in Rd. 1!!

Thanks for the reminder on Essendon's performance christo! Can you say, um....'practice match'? If Richmond beat us in the regular season like that, my days as a loyal supporter would be shot through the roof! No hird, no Lloyd, no issue of concern. Would be interesting for you blokes if the roos and dogs meet in the pre-season grand final. The side bets may make an early appearance.
