Just one for me...
Carlton 1.90
Both of these teams on long losing streaks (well, before winning on the weekend for Carlton anyway! )...but the Blues look far more likely than Hawthorn who's form is continually getting worse!
In their last 5 games the Hawks are the worst in the league in attack (shot every 2.51 entries!!) and defense (a shot every 1.73 entries!!) both by a very long margin.
They have allowed at least 29 shots in 8 of their last 9 games, and if it wasn't for some poor kicking by most of the teams they have played, they could well have lost all of them by 10+ goals.
Carlton's defense is somewhat ordinary aswell, but the Hawks simply won't be able to take advantage, as they have only had 20+ shots themselves in 3 of their last 10...av. just 72 ppg in that time.
Hawthorn won the first meeting this year, but it's a bit deceptive, as Carlton were without Fevola and Waite, their 2 key forwards.
As a result, the Blues scored just every 2.53 entries into their 50...as I've said, Hawthorn allowing 1.73 in their last 5, this is sure to turn around.
I think it's an even stronger play now with Essendon winning last night...really shows that no teams down the bottom are tanking for draft picks, and neither of these proud clubs want to finish on the bottom.
