St. Kilda -32.5

Maybe I've over thought this one, but the more I look, the more I think that it's the sucker bet of the week.

Like I said last week, I don't think they can kick enough goals!...Kositchski is a BIG hole...Gehrig not 100%, Riewoldt playing more up the grounbd and struggling with his goal kicking anyway...
...even last year when they were flying the midfield didn't kick many goals, it was all the big men up forward.
Pre-season they really struggled, and only kicking 9.12 last week...

Of course, the flip side of al that is that pre-season is exactly that, and playing the Eagles in Perth is never much fun...
Saints have won the last 5 meetings by 80, 44, 45, 68 & 69 last year.
Saints have won 5 straight at the dome by 80, 73, 41, 23 and 139!
Tiges have lost 7 of last 8 going back to last year...but only 3 by more than 27...
They have lost 6 of their last 7 at the dome tho...with 4 losses being by more.

Anyway...after all that, like I said, I don't think I can take the Saints...definately can't take the Tiges either.
...I might just tip them for a laugh! :sadwave:

Geelong -22.5

Don't reckon I'll be talked out of this one tho!
The Cats won last year by 85 at home, and have won 8 pf their last 10 at home by an av of 41 points.
I think it's a pretty good case of the Kangaroos being over-rated after a perceived "good" win last week...but I think we all recognise here that Port are certainly not the power (non pun!) that they have been.
Last year the Kangaroos only beat one team that was higher than them on nthe ladder, and that was Richmond, who somehow started off the season well!

Given decent weather I think the Cats will get this one done pretty easily.

Dogs -11.5

You'd haveto think Doggies but not sure if I could trust them as reasonable favs just yet!...Melbourne did look pretty terrible tho!

Brisbane /Ess...Actually fancy Essendon here, but not sure the odds are all that flash @ 2.15.
Essendon lost by 13 points in Brisbane last year, but had 2 more shots, and 2 more inside 50's.
Llyod had a shocker, kicking 1.3 from just 10 possessions, and Hird didn't play either.
Add to that, Nigel Lappin had 29 possies and a goal...
Actually 2.15 doesn't sound that silly all of a sudden...2.20 would be nice tho.

Freo -23.5

I think I like how this one sets up as well. Freo off an "upset" loss, but at a grounbd where they have had NO success...Carlton a good win, but Melbourne looked very under-done.
Freo have won the last 6 meetings by 28, 28, 47, 48, 19 (subi), 35 (MCG) last year.
Freo will be pretty keen to put in a good win here at home...4 goals doesn't look like much.

Sydney -21.5

Like I said, Port aren't anywhere near the team they have been...
Sydney got off to a poor start last week, but realistically the game was over at 1/4 time due to a fair amount of help from the men in white, hey bomber? :nono:
Sydney won athome by 24 last season, with 9 more shots, and with Tredrea likely another week away I think the Swans can bounce back nwith a decent win.

Collingwood 1.80!! :scared

Pretty confident that this is bet of the week...
Again, sets up well...Hawks off that "upset" win, and Collingwood fading late, but mixed it with arguably the best team in the league for 3/4's.
People like Licuria, Roccca, Tarrant even Buckley will be better for the run, and playing Hawthorn isn't quite the same as battling the Crows.
Collingwood have won the last 2 years by 65 and 28, and last year were without Buckley and Rocca.
Prety amazing to think that the Pies have lost 9 straight games, but they are clearly the better team here I'd think...1.80 looks generous.

Likely picks:
Collingwood
Geelong -
Freo-
Sydney -
Ess

Could be a big week!!

This can't be right Christo!! I can't be funked checking back but I'm sure this is wrong.

Remember we won our first 5 so were on top of the ladder for the first 1/4 of the season anyways!! The only teams you can beat are below ya!!

I'm liking the Saints - , Freo - & Colingwood at this point.

Been away for work all week so haven't had any spare time to invest on here what so ever. Help from the men in white last week C??? lmao! Won it out of the center and looked like the midfield of 2000 in the early stages- loved every minute of it! Hoping for more of that this week. Taking the saints minus any points they are giving richmond to start the week. Going to sydney for the weekend (work) as the bombers travel up here to the sunshine state to play the lions at the gabba. One word- Headless!

Not a good start to the weekend. St Kilda seemed obvious especially with recent results as Christo showed. It was though a much improved effort from Richmond.

Yeah Beasty......a pissweak effort from the saints.

You really have to wonder if their "window of opportunity" has now closed!!

They seem pretty impotent up forward.

A much improved effort by Richmond after last weeks embarrassment.

Another Play

Western Bulldogs -13.5

Melbourne were poor last week and this only confirmed what I saw in the preseason when they didn't score a goal in the second half against Adelaide. Bulldogs were awesome on the other hand and I expect them to win by 4 or 5 goals.

Was a little scared of my Bulldogs play at the half but a great second half got it over the line easy in the end.

Feel bad for anyone who backed Freo as they led by 30+ a good portion of the match only to concede 3 goals in the last 5 minutes and let Carlton cover.

Can't find any plays on Sunday.

Lean to Collingwood but that is all.
Sydney will beat Port but unsure if it will be enough to cover.
Hope Adelaide can win being a supporter but am worried about our 6 day break vs West Coast 10 day break especially with Hentschel out replaced by Scott Stevens.
