Sydney -20.5

Kangaroos still seem to be rated, despite being 2-7...It's their "home" game, and they have a perceived advantage at Canberra, but they are just 5-5 in their last 10, and have lost their last 2 there as underdogs by 36 to Melbourne last year, and 24 to the poor travelling West Coast this season.
Sydney are flying right now, winning their last 5 games, all by more than 21 points, and should have just too many guns for a pretty ordinary Kangaroos team.
(Any team that brings Jade Rawlings in has big problems, ay Pawa??!! :mj07: )

Collingwood -15.5

Brisbane are being very over-rated here due to their last 3 weeks...big wins, but all against ordinary teams.
Collingwood are 7-2, with the 2 losses being against the 2 best teams in the AFL.
There is a lot of talk about their high scoring (Av. nearly 120 ppg), but what is being over-looked is their backline. They have the second best defense in the AFL (behind Adelaide), allowing a shot at goal just every 2.25 entries to their 50...
...and while Brisbane have scored 100+ in their 4 wins (Jonathon Brown has kicked 25 goals in those 4 games!), when they have scored <100, they have lost all 5 games by an av. of nearly 44 points.
Brisbane have a strong head-to-head record, but they haven't been paying more than evens in the last 10 meetings, have been very short favs in the last 3.
The tables are turned here, and I think Collingwood is a much better team, esp. at home.

Dogs v. Hawthorn under 190.5 (2.70)
(191-210 as a saver)

Last year's meeting was 111-89, but 1) it was only 26 shots to 24, so some exceptionally good kicking for goal, and 2) This season the 'Dogs are much better defensively, allowing a shot just every 2.10 entries compared to 1.82 last season...
...Hawthorn are also much better defensively (2.14 this season, 1.93 in 2005), but also far worse at scoring, having a shot every 2.23 entries, which is second worse in the AFL behind the Kangaroos. (2.14 last year)
The Bulldogs haven't allowed 100 in the Dome yet this season in 5 games, av. 85 points allowed, and the Hawks haven't scored 100 in their last 5 games, av. just 69 pgg!!...The loss of Croad at CHF is really hurting them going forward.
Hawthorn had one defensive slip up v. Melbourne 2 weeks ago, but other than that have held the opp to 27 shots or less in 7 of 9 games, with just the high scoring Collingwood having 29....and as such, they have had just one game all season that has gone over 197 points (202 v. Collingwood).
Murphy out for the Bulldogs will hurt their forward structure...like the under here at a generous number.

Carlton +17.5

In 2 games last season (in which Port were big favs) they played a draw at AAMI, and Port won by just 14 at the MCG...
...Port are worse this season in virtually all areas...Carlton have vastly improved their defense, allowing a shot every 2.06 entries, compared to 1.79 last season.
Despite all the doom and gloom around Carlton, they have lost just 4 games this season by more than 15 points...1 game was without Fevola (and even then, they had just 3 inside 50's and 4 less shots than Hawthorn), the other 3 were against the top 3 teams in the comp! (Well, except West Coast)
The Blues off a couple of whopping losses, but they get back to their own level of class here, and must be a real chance of getting a win.
