Wanted to get peoples opinions on the coll v port match on Fri night. I cant see this going more than 2 goals either way...

Should be a cracker on friday night. Both teams coming off solid wins last weekend which was especiaaly important for the pies. Think port wins as they are at home (even though collingwood has proven they can win in adelaide) and can't see the pies beating both the adelaide teams in adelaide in the same season. Would be a huge feat if they could. Like ports midfield better and going with the home stats for interstate teams which says that 90-95% of interstate teams have won at home this year: only three losses I think. Port by 2-4 goals IMO.

Pies forward line could cause real problems again! (Although don't expect them to kick 18-6 again!)

Another game I am taking interest in is the sydney/richmond game. If the perth trend continues (no melbourne team has won the week after playing in perth) then the swans would have to be at pretty good odds paying around 2.15/2.20 for a win. I know sydney are unpredictable but if their midfield improves back to it's normal self this week you would have to think they will have more opportunities at goal than the tigers and surely control the game. Any thoughts?
Agreed bomber. I think Sydney are a chance at good odds.

No doubt pawa. Richmond will fold like a lawn chair before it's all said and done. Wish they had odds on that!
Like +15.5 for collingwood. Feel they are almost an even money chance to win this game. Coll are very good underdogs from memory (not sure if anyone has stats on that) and as we all know play well in SA.

Just watched the replay of Sydney/Kangas last week.
I think the best thing I can say about Sydney is that they can't possibly play that badly 2 weeks in a row!! Season low inside 50's and clearances....Cresswell BIG loss.
The Roos were also well short of impressive....should be a cracker at the dome this week

I'm taking both Carlton +39.5 v Fremantle and Melbourne +39.5 v Brisbane purely on percentages. Teams getting +39.5 or more this season are 2 from 2 and teams getting +30 or more are 6 from 7. You would expect that both dogs get smashed but its hard to go against those numbers :shrug: .
Also think that Sydney, Essendon and Hawthorn can get up as dogs. Worth mixing into some multis with some faves for value.

Thinking about playing carlton and melbourne strictly on percentages aswell pawa. Like richmond to continue the losing trend after perth the week before and jumping on sydney but think that west coast will rattle my dons and have a little too much pace for them. Actually flying down for the game tomorrow. Hird, Lloyd and fleth help tremendously but they are not the team they used to be unfortunately. Also like adelaide to cover a small line even though they are not in their best form. Good luck whatever you guys decide to play.
Good second half by carlton allowed them to stay within the 36.5 start they were given which earned some much needed $ and also took the dogs +11.5. Easy cover in the end! Playing the swans tonight along with the dees +34.5. Also taking the crows tomorrow which looks to be a very interesting game. Need to keep the good fortunes rolling while they're hot! Great game between the dogs and roos today. Mr C and pawa, I bet you guys were going through the motions all day. Hoping neither of you ended up in hospital with a stroke!
Perth hoodoo continues as the swans get the job done nicely. As for the dees, I thought I was watching a replay of last years game when I turned it on at quarter time. Won't be watching too much of them come semptember!
