Well it feels longer than 2 weeks since we have had some action to sweat of a weekend. All the lines look very well set this week but one game that stands out to me is Adelaide over Carlton giving up 10.5 start. Also thinking about my Dons to cover the same line against the cats in what is a last roll of the dice for them on friday night.

Agree bomber.

Crows stood out to me too.....Also Collingwood -14.5!! What the hell is that!
I can't believe Bandy will play (He is the obvious match-up for Tarrant), and that leave Hargraves and/or Harrison

Will know more after I look thro some teams

Can't see it.....

Can't see it.....

...Having said that, things look a little closer than last year. (Which the Crows won by 55 at same venue.)

Carlton have Allan, Hulme, Hickmott, Fevola and Kouta IN. (However, McKernan kicked 5!! and Whitnall kicked 4...won't happen again.)

Adelaide miss Bode, Goodwin, Johnson (who had 76 possies!) and Stevens who had 20 and 4 goals......But Carey, Burns and McGregor in.

All stats still point to a flogging.....will wait to see weather on the day.

Will be at the Freo/Hawthorn game on Sunday....Like the Dockers too ;)

Not the Blues bomber......the CATS my man!! :D

See main thread>>>>

I think that Adelaide will "lay the smack down" on Carlton. Giving small points looks like an early x-mas present!!

Tempted to take on the train once more! Have lost my last couple of battle's with it but maybe it's time for the express to be de-railed. GL with the game, but whether I decide to bet it or not, will be on the other side.:thefinger

Me too, bomber.

Although Essendon lack a bit of pace in the middle I think they have far better players (and match-ups) at either end.
Provided they get enough of the ball (and stats suggest they will out-possess Geelong) they really should get the job done.

Have tipped the Bombers but think there are far better games to be betting on this week.

Hey.....Bombers by 9, should keep everyone happy ;)

Well, a 9 point win would do just fine Mr C as I have my dons inside 39. Doing it nicely at this point up by 28 points. Just hoping they can maintain it. :nono: Don't mess with the dons when they are on! (which is one in every 3 games this year)

Cheers mate! First good performance for a few weeks which was good to see. Just need to produce it more often and against quality opposition. Apart from the crows, who do you like for the remainder of the round mate?

So do you think Adelaide -12.5 is a good play? I already drunkenly played it, so I guess I'm just hoping for some reassurance.... Even though I don't know what you guys are saying half the time, I love reading your AFL threads....

I'll start....

I'll start....

...under 'normal' circumstances I'd say it was a gift, but the weather is scaring me.
Carlton great at scrapping and scragging in the wet....Adelaide are no. 1 in the League for handballs....not the style of play that suits wet weather.

It's a very strange line TBH....I'll assume the books have taken into account the weather, otherwise looks a bit of a trap

Love Collingwood -13.5 tonight (in 30 minutes!). No way my Doggies cover Tarrant/Rocca/Molloy/Fraser :(

EDIT: I see now Adelaide only 10.5 point favs!!!! Scarey stuff

Well, I'm still very heavy on Adelaide -12.5, but I was able to buy about 40 percent of the bet back at +12.5 +100, so at least I got even money for it.

Mr C, hope you have a good time at the game today mate. Went to the brisbane/Richmond game last night which was a decent contest for the most part. Brisbane showed some signs of weekness early though, as all the centre clearances were won by the tiges early. Think that the better teams in the comp can exploit this with much greater effect. Anyway, love the crows this week for good reason. Carey, burns and clarke back in the side are three big inclusions and it is time for the crows to start really puting it together come the last half of the season. They are way to good a side to lose to carlton today and personally, I would be absolutely shocked if the blues get up in this one. That said, 10.5 should not be to great a hurdle to cover.
Today: Adelaide -10.5
Hawthorn -3.5:cool:

Hope you enjoyed the half of football that you got to watch Mr C. Glad to see the system kick in for a win and earn us some $$$. Every once in a while a soft line comes out where you could bet everything you own on a game and this weeks lucky winner was Adelaide. There's probably been about 4 games this year that were absolute locks before they even started and we can only hope that we get a few more before it's all said and done. And pawa, good effort by your boys in the west today mate. Playing consistent footy and show no signs of frailty at this point taking it up to some of the best teams in the comp.
