Some good looking games coming up this weekend. Still no team has won the week after playing in perth and although the roos have looked solid pretty much all season, I think the pies giving up 2 goals might be a solid play. Should be a good game but the roos legs might be a little weary towards the end of the game after playing in the slop last week at subiaco. Mr C, do you reckon your dogs are of any value getting 19.5? Surely they are due to not only cover but to win. This could be there week and kind of like them getting the points. The third game I like is west coast +10.5 v sydney. Two in form teams playing what should be one of the games of the round. Really an even money game so makes sense to take the points in my book. And finally, what about Freo and their 'home dogs' status for the weekend against a brisbane side that has shown vulnerability over the past month. No team has won in perth this season and therefore to be getting points at home is value. Anyone have any thoughts of there own?

Earlyu thoughts before going thro teams.....

LOVE Freo @ 2.30!! :p

Like Collingwood -11.5....The Pies have carved up all teams this year with a crap defense...allows Tarrant/Rocca et al to step up and do what they do.
Agree the conditions last week may be a factor...........Which is why I might stay away from the West Coast game.

Have to say, bomber, my initial reaction was the Hawks -17.5, but Holland doubtful is big. Still tough to see our backline holding them to a decent score...BUT...having said that, Hawthorn only hit 100 twice this year!! The one game we have won this season (way back in Rd. 1  ) we held Geelong to under 100 ;)

Back again.....

All of a sudden not so keen on the Pies.

Kanga's have very similar stats to West Coast when they knocked off Collingwood @ Telstra.
Also Shannon Watt is a near perfect match-up for Tarrant. Archer takes Rocca and Brown on Molloy. If the Roos can get enough of the ball (and I guess that depends on how much last week takes it out of them!)...but they have to be a show.
And just on that point of last week.....Simpson back, who didn't play last week....will be at least one fresh body there ;)

Doggies available for +21.5 mate...and yes, I think you're right...big chance to win. Hawks 15th in Inside 50's...might not be able to take advantage of Doggies looseness in middle. Also, as I said...they don't score big. Doggies chances of winning rise significantly on MCG (and this is only game this season  :nono: ).

Also hard to go passed Essendon -16.5, Melbourne-8.5 and Port -17.5 all playing sub-par opposition.

the land of confusion
I like Fremantle getting the start @ home v Brisbane, think Collingwood should cover the 2 goals v Roos and love Port -17.5 v Geelong.
Bulldogs probably due to win outright if not with the points but not putting any $ on it.

Mr C, also like port not giving up too many points against the cats this weekend. On the other side of you on the dons game though. Didn't think they would be giving up this many points to be honest with you. They have one decent win and everyone thinks they are are a solid team but are still over-rated as much as i hate to say it. Hope you're right but will sit that one out I think. Good point on the west coast game. Thought about the roos having to back up after last weeks slop but not about west coast so might also stay away there. Still think the pies are the play however.:)

Great game between freo and brisbane today. Happy to see the dockers get up as I imagine we all were. What a sweater! Usually the close ones seem to go the other way. Brisbane have only won 1 out of there last 4 and have a very solid hawthorn outfit to contend with next week. Anyway, playing the pies tonight along with port tomorrow. May also ride the train and take the coasters in what should be a cracker tomorrow at the SCG. GL to all for the remainder of the weekend.

An insipid display by my Kangaroos tonight
Well called bomber. I hope you hit the Pies harder than me minus the points. Freo was a bit of a scare  but they came home with the wind at their backs.:D

As low as I feel after the game....I know that there is someone else out there feeling lower........hey? MrC? :moon:

I just checked back and found that not only has every 'eastern' team lost when playing the following week from out west, but every one has failed to cover their spread as well.
My Roos making it now 11 from 11 failures.
Worth riding that one home from here me thinks!!
