This weeks games:

(home teams on the left)

Kangaroos v Adelaide
Carlton v Hawthorn
Melbourne v West Coast
Port Adelaide v Richmond
Collingwood v Sydney
Geelong v Brisbane
Western Bulldogs v St. Kilda
Fremantle v Essendon

I think we are all looking for a more successful week. Hopefully we can find some winners here. Looking forward to seeing the port line as I think the tigers, as I have said the last two weeks, are due for a loss and I find it really hard to see them toppling port at AAMI.

Backed the saints against richmond and against them last week v geelong. Time for some redemption and think this week, against the dogs, will be the week this happens. Milne out, dogs to win. Mr C, any thoughts?

Scary game, bomber.

Saints have a lot of height they can throw forward.....Will wait until I see the line-ups before making a definative answer, but certainly not confident early!!

Interesting to note tho, that the Doggies have topped 99 the last 6 times they have played the Sainters. Darcy dominated last year, kicking 5...will get back to you mate :D

One for PAWA....How do you feel about your Rooboys?
Stevens is a BIG loss for Adelaide, but the Roos tall forwards struggled last week...might not be a bad game.

Looks another dodgy week TBH, but while Richmond, Hawthorn, Melbourne and St. Kilda are still in the comp., what's new!! :moon:

Mr C, I agree. It looks like another tough week to pick some winners from. Nothing really standing out to my eye as the books seem to have the spreads right on the mark. Will be made a little easier when the teams come out tonight. Looking forward to seeing what you guys like.

the land of confusion
MrC

I'm not real confident about my Roos against Adelaide. I think the Carey 'drama' will impact more of our guys than the Crows'.
I figure we'll push 'em and then go down by 3-4 goals.
I don't expect 'the King' to have much influence on the game as he will find it hard to go up against the royal blue and white, which I believe still pumps through his veins.

I respect him as the best I have seen and he will always be 'the King' to me. He is a shadow of his former self and it is one of the greatest blots in AFL history to have come to this point.

I still have the Premiership memorys though!!! :D

I hope the North fans don't give him a hard time

Souza, no worries mate! Hope you have made some $$ from our picks each week. Good to have you aboard and taking interest in a game that is probably totally foreign to you.

Nothing really appealing this week. Taking melbourne -4.5 and at this stage will keep it at that. Like Adelaide, but might just sit back and watch it from the sidelines.

I'm thinking West Coast Eagles can roll Melbourne.
Demons stinking it up in their last quarter efforts.
Eagles straight up looks like value to me.

Pawa, very aware that west coast is capable of rolling the dees and you're right, melbourne is struggling to run out games. Just think that if the dees are to make a serious on assault on the finals (even though it is still pretty early in the season) that they will have to win this game to keep that in there sights. Have played terrible in last quarters the previous 2 weeks and on the other hand west coast have run there games out well, notably against the hawks and last week when freo applied some early final term pressure. The dees at home playing the eagles with a poor travelling record is enough for me to go out on a limb and plonk down the $. Nothing else looks overly appealing so decided that was the game I was going to fire at. What else do you like this week aside from your system play?

Season to date 7-9 +2u

All the good work early on has gone down the tubes with last weeks 'shocker' and now tonight's loss.

My Roos up against Adelaide was like watching a car crash....
I wanted to get up and walk away but I was just drawn back to watch the horrific sight of 'the King' playing against us. Watching Stevens and Archer 'lining' him up for the big hits was painful to watch. Such a tragedy, this whole drama being played out before us. I thought for a second Archer was willing to take 4 weeks off and 'drop' Carey when they went toe-to-toe. That's the only time I've ever seen fear in 'the King's' eyes over 15 years of football!!!
2 goals 10 in the second half didn't help us.

Probably amusing for fans of all the other clubs huh?

A friggin' tragedy I tells ya!!

:nooo:

I might just sit back and ride the train 'through' the Bulldogs with my big bet. Dunno......
Brisbane giving the points is a bit tempting. I'll sleep on it.

Looks like I picked the wrong week to give up the smokes!! :weed:

:yup

"probably amusing for fans of all the other clubs huh?". King is always going to be one of the greatest players the game has ever seen and to see the hardness of Archer every time they were in a contest was expected. Thought the match, like yourself, was going to be a little closer but I guess it is hard to compete when you kick 2.10 in the second half. Would like for both your sake and the roos sake to see them win enough games to play finals footy and shove it up all those who predicted they would be terrible this year.

Not sure it was 'fear', PAWA......More a look of bemusement I thought.

Class gesture for Carey to head toward the Kanga's to shake some hands after the game........Almost predictably was greeted with turned backs, bit disappaointing by the 'Roos.

Some quality banners at the game too!! :D :D

Like Collingwood 1-39 today @ 2.30

Pies only beaten Sydney by more than 21 points since 1992!!!
Bit tough to take Sydney +21.5 tho......Collingwood don't tend to bury sides and I think they'll win.

Melbourne more marks than W.C. @ 1.50...very strong ;)
