Hi Guys,

A quick recap of the AFL season to date:

Round 1 went 2-4
Round 2 went 1-3
Round 3 went 3-2
Round 4 went 5-2
Round 5 went 2-4
Round 6 went 5-1

Year to date 18-16

It is interesting to note that there were 4 rounds where I spent hours capping the games (with fairly ordinary results) and 2 rounds where I had little time to study the form (these weeks I went 5-2 and 5-1).

It is hard to explain why this is but I am certainly inclined to stick with the formula that is producing good results. So the plan for this week is to base my plays mainly on gut feeling.

Round 7 plays:

Hawthorn -16.5 vs Geelong (2 units)
Sydney -6.5 vs Richmond
Adelaide -19.5 vs Fremantle
Collingwood -12.5 vs Wstn Bdogs

I am also leaning towards Essendon -24.5 vs Carlton but at this stage won't pull the trigger. If the line comes in by 3 or 4 points I will have another look.

Good luck to everyone.

I see that all four of us have selected Hawthorn & Adelaide to cover the spread this weekend.

That would have to make them an "Off the Wall" special !!!!

Round 7 scores:

Essendon 87 Carlton 62
Hawthorn 130 Geelong 78
Wst Coast 139 Kangaroos 90
Richmond 88 Sydney 82
Adelaide 118 Fremantle 89
Brisbane 129 Port Adelaide 72
Melbourne 105 St Kilda 102
Collingwood 73 Wstn Bdogs 63

My plays went 2-2 this weekend but produced a small profit with the 2 unit play winning. Nearly went 3-1 with Collingwood winning but failing to cover the spread by 3 points.

Great weekend on the other codes with NRL going 6-0 and Super 12 going 1-0.

:)

A good round once again. 3-1 on plays. Perhaps abit stiff on the Pies missing by a kick but then again, having watched it, Those poor old Bulldogs kicked themselves out of another victory :nono:
Hawthorn and Adelaide never really in doubt.
A note on the St Kilda cover.... My records show 7 of 9 teams @ 77.7% bringing home the bacon when offered +30 or more points so far this season

My mechanical system has finally got itself into second gear going 2-0 to currently stand at 8-6 and get itself into the black for the first time. Initial balance now stands at 117%. Hopefully this baby has a short second :D

Congrats go out to Cartman88....you really torched it this week
