As sick as I am, just looked at the odds for the upcoming weekend. Christo, dogs are at a healthy price straight up against the swans this weekend. Having a crack?? Also, dons at short odds to beat freo most likely with the absence of Hird yet again. Freo line may be worth a look when released. Pawa, props bet on the roos to make the 8 is at $2.80 mate, not a bad investment. Looking at the saints schedule, they are a great chance to make it 13-0 until they meet port in round 14 which will be their first 'true' test you would think during this period. Looking forward to seeing if they can keep it together as their run to this point is surprising enough.

yep. Hird says he'll play this week. Essendon opened up at a healthy 1.50....coming in a bit now, but lke you, I'll be looking to the line.

Honestly...REALLY like the Doggies this week. 2.40..hopefully will see some better. Because we will always score our 100+ points each week we do well against teams that don't score much (even against our (crappy, non-existant defense!).
Have won 5 of the last 6 in Sydney!! ...
Just gotta hope those red sticks at training haven't moved ;)

A bit disappointed with Melbourne's odds...2.15, but still think they will win.

There is one STAGGERING price to me...and I can't believe PAWA hasn't sprayed it everywhere!!
Kangaroos 1.80 to beat Collingwood!!  CRAZY!

In fact, I will go so far as to say, th Express will make it's first collect this week without too many troubes at all ;)

Oh, bomber. Check out the St. Kilda 'special' market @ Centrebet.

Does anyone know if Buckley, Burns and Fraser are coming back for the pies?

1.80 for the Roos is too good to be true. They are'nt playing that poorly and the Collingwood V Adelaide game was easily the worst this season.

Also like Melbourne, Like any half decent team against Brissy now. Injuries are going to kill their top 4 chance.

Anyone have an opinion about the depth of St.Kilda if they had these injuries??

Peter Burgoyne is out aswell for the Power... Surely Geelong aren't without a chance now at those odds??

Checked out the 'special' market christo at centerbet and it is something that I will be keeping my eye on. Don't think this weeks game against the blues will have too much of an effect on it but there are some healthy odds on hand, particularly port at $7 in round 14.
Hird back already, good for the dons and explains why they are at 1.45ish. The roos at 1.80 do look good also christo. Buckley still out for another week or 2 right?

Apparently both Buckley and Burns "tried" to play last week...both having (fairly pointless!) fitness tests on the Friday.

I find it impossible to believe that they would risk Buckley. Initial reports were of him returning after the mid-season break.
Collingwood are probably stupid/arrogant enough to think they can still make the finals, so who knows?

I wouldn't worry either way. If he plays, he won't be effective.

Will let you know as the week rolls on.

And KABLAAAMMMMOOOOO!!! There goes my fantasy footy team!
Buroine and Thompson both out. ...If Cooney doesn't get a game this week (highly unlikely!) it's bye-bye for me :(

I do rate Geelong, but tough to go against Port at home. Wanganeen and Montgomery and two big in's this week.

Still like Melbourne, but @ 2.05?? Shuold have jumped on the 2.20 when the chance was there!...Still, some of the international books will more than likely over-rate Bris here....Could be some good prices to come yet ;)

Just a heads-up bomber. The Port v. Saintys game is down here at York Park, so no home ground for Port. Can't see the Saints dropping that one.
They WILL drop at least one game...but like the Ess year when the Doggies (of all tems! :tongue ) popped up to do it, it's near impossible to tell when it will happen.

Brisbane Rd. 21 @ 8.50 if I had to guess ;)

Thanks for the update on the 'york park' contest 'C'. Wasn't sure where the game was to be played. Cannot see the saints going through the season without one slip up along the way although their draw is quite promising for the most part. Also, happy that you mentioned our one loss in 2000 was to the dogs mate! Remember the day clearly unfortunately.
Christo, waiting on the footy tipping update mate vs the GF

lol!! bomber. Just because I brought up R.21 2000 (Can't believe it was that long ago!! ), there was no need to bite back with the tipping! :D

Actually getting right back in it now. Only 3 behind the good woman. Now all the 'choas' of the first few rounds died off, and things are going a bit more to plan, I've been gaining consistantly.
Still a fairly sad/sizable 9 off the lead, but that's less than one a week ;)

If ANYONE has any clue about the Hawthorn/Crows game tho

beast? Crows let me down last week (which would have closed the gap to one  )...only thing I'm thinking is under..any total they can possibly post!! UNDER!!

Collingwood: Fair chance Lockyer wil resume after a BOG in the 2's. Burns and Fraser both likely, but I'd be amazed if Buckley lines up.
I still find it hard to believe 1.85 for the Kangas tho.
(Never thought I'd say this!!...) But McKernan will be a BIG inclusion.

Will know more at this time tomorrow.

Found Dogs for 2.50 :tongue

Really like the Dogs to win this one.

They have GREAT record in Sydney...Winning 4 of the last 5 games there. They did lose last year but it was in the middle of a horror draw...was the 3rd interstate game in 4 weeks, and the week after a trip to Perth.
In fact, they were 16 points up at 1/2 time last year, but ran out of legs...Also had Kretiuk and Skipper go down during the game, leaving them without a ruckman and a key defender.

This year they have Grant, Rawlings and Morgan and Minson in the ruck will allow Darcy to play forward.

Sydney struggling atm, and were lucky to get a win over a terrible Hawthorn last week.

Sydney are the 6th lowest scoring team in the league...Richmond, Collingwood, Hawthorn, Carlton, Adelaide.

Dogs are 2-2 v. those sides, and should realistically be 4-0.
Dogs will score their 90+, and I doubt Sydney can keep up.

Brilliant value @ 2.50!

Everyone still waiting for the Saints bubble to burst. Amazingly they are still being under-rated!!
101 point win next week, and won't be surprised if it will be near that again.
7 of their last 9 wins at the dome have been by 45 points or more.
St. Kilda won this game by 91 points last year.
7 changes this week for Carlton, and things ARE going to get messy again.

the land of confusion
Sorry to say that the system is on two of your picks Christo. :(
Hate to play the 'Cooler'

However...
The Saints are the one 'strong play' (12-4 / 11-5ATS) for this week so thats some consolation.

GL fellas

Hang in there, PAWA.

I knew the Kanga's were going to be an Express pick this week...Told you earlier it was a winner ;)

Hoping the express route has a dual track set-up, 'cause I'll be steaming along beside....heading straight through Collingwood station right up to Sydney to collect. :tongue

Couldn't pull the trigger on Melbourne. I think Thompson out is a bigger loss for them that people will think. Bizell out also hurts down back.

Oh, the Fantasy team is also back on track after the VERY timely inclusion of Cooney (to cover Thompson) and McKernan to cover Burgoine.
Half my bloody team is now Kangaroos!!...Will make me twice as mad if they lose now!

Brisbane almost unstopable at home. Taking them for a unit on the spread. Think they will put last week behind them and continue their impressive record at home.:D Also playing the roos with you guys at $1.80 and port at -15.5 v the cats, the first for 1 unit and the second for 2 units. Like port to turn things around this week.

Adelaide Australia
Year to Date: 17-14

Round 10 Play
Essendon -19.5 d Fremantle
Essendon are a different team with Hird as they will prove this week. Fremantle still haven't proved they can travel as one win against Collingwood does not prove that.

Back Later with further plays

Beasty, good job again last night mate and I hope for your sake you can continue your win streak in to double figures like the saints will this weekend.:D Funny how one guy (Hird) can change the shape of a football game the way he does in regards to the way essendon plays. The team is quite deep with talent but it takes the captain himself to ingite the dons come game day. Anyway, let's see how the rest of the weekend shapes up.

Dream trip comes true in Rd. 10!

Dream trip comes true in Rd. 10!

I returned LATE last night from a 2.25 unit visit to the casino playing blackjack and craps (Dad "crapped out" at the crap table) and caught a little bit of Essendon @ -235.

I will make the following wagers a bit closer to game time:

Hawthorn -135 to make 1/2 unit

West Coast -295 to make 1 unit

I told my Dad that "CranMan The CrazyMan" was going to win the necessary funds for at least an 8 night visit to Australia by wagering on St. Kilda.

I will of course go the moneyline route and asked Dad for 2.8 acres of the back 40 to make 4.9 units. He replied, "sure son and if it doesn't work out you have a free place to stay in the barn with the Morgan horses" HA!

I look forward to following the A.F.L. into the early morning and successful wagering to everyone at MadJack's
