Round 1 plays (2pts):

Tjaart Van Der Walt to beat Kevin Phelan -110 @ 5Dimes
Looking for Van Der Walt to play well this week. He has lots of experience of co-sanctioned events, having been a full member of the European Tour in 2012 and 2013, and a particularly good record when the European Tour reaches Africa: in this season alone, he finished 8th in the Alfred Dunhill Championship in December, was 2nd after 54 holes in the Joburg Open and finished 3rd in the Tshwane Open in March. He has more than experience to play well in this first event in Mauritius and looks more secure to have a good week here than Phelan.

Tjaart Van Der Walt to beat Dean Burmester -110 @ 5Dimes
Burmester also played well in the March events that were co-sanctioned by the European Tour and he has shown very good form on the Sunshine Tour recently, but he had failed to finish in the top-30 in his 15 previous co-sanctioned events, so I'm not convinced that his purple patch of form will continue in this tri-sanctioned event. Van Der Walt looks more solid this week.

Round 2 play (2pts):

Johan Carlsson to beat Jaco Ahlers -123 @ Pinnacle [also available @ 5Dimes]
Carlsson hit hit drives further and straighter and hit more greens in regulation than Ahlers today, so there is no indication that Ahlers will turn around the form that has seen him miss his last two cuts and is currently on the cut line.

Round 3 play (2pts):

Ben Evans to beat Jaokim Lagergren -135 @ 5Dimes
With top-15 finishes in three of his last five starts, Evans came into the event in very good form and is only two shots off matching that mark again this week. In this form, he looks to be a player to back over the weekend.
