Aggies have already lost Soph 5* QB Kyle Allen. Word is Kyler Murry is now leaving as well. What will make this even worse is that Christian Kirk might be following those two.

Louisville might be a great bet.

Kind of weird he wasn't with the other two QBs working out with the team today. IMO they need to worry about their frosh WR being upset more than Kyler.

i bet he is a badass baseball player, longer career, that's what he should concentrate on, IMO...too small for the next level in NFL

Where is he rumored to be interested in transferring?

Not sure what he'll do but it's confirmed that Murry requested a transfer. Absolute dumpster fire in Aggie land right now.

If Sumlin loses Tate(5* QB recruit) then he's in big trouble.

I personally think Murry goes to Oregon where he should have gone from the get go.

To get a clearer picture, the Murray family met with sumlin before the press conference yesterday. Papa Murray basically demanded to become new qb coach if we wanted kyler to stay at A&M. Obviously that didn't work and while Murray thought he had leverage and would make sumlin look bad...instead sumlin stated in press conference that he expected Murray at practice today hence making him look bad for not showing. It backfired. It actually gives us leverage since he did not complete his loi, we have an option although I don't believe we will use it to make him sit out for two years. Either way it won't matter he wants to go the mlb route. It leaves us in a bind(yes I'm an ag very close to the program fwiw) with only one scholarship qb..Jake Hubenak, although he was all world at blinn jc.
Also Someone mentioned recruit Tate Martell...he is well aware of the situation and is actually going to try and graduate a year early not a semester but a year and enroll at A&M. For now no worries with him......actually it is strengthening the relationship. As for Kirk...he's not going anywhere and has stated that repeatedly.
So what does all this mean for the bowl game?
Speedy Noil is suspended for the bowl game but the receiving Corp has plenty of depth and he has struggled all season anyway. Not worried about that. This team is rallying despite all distractions. I'm Not always a homer but in this situation I truly believe they get it done and beat Louisville. 38-27. Louisville does not have a blue print on Hubenak...he is a strong armed quick release qb, not as athletic as kyler but quicker release than both Allen and Murray. Look for a lot of slot play with seals jones to get mismatches then long ball to his former blinn teammate ratley. Aggies will throw some wrinkles in too with two weeks to prepare. Make no mistake, this dumpster fire is rallying the team and refocusing them on team play with no entitlements. This team has been sick but is going through cleansing. We've Taken our medicine and will be healthy for the bowl game. This team will be motivated.

MJones, I know there has been some talk within the team that Hubenak might be the best qb of the three in Fall camp. It will be interesting to see how it plays out. I don't like the Aggies but I do wish that kid good luck because his spot can't be easy.

My worry for you all is that I just don't think Sumlin is a good coach. Actually there's no proof he is at this point. He's done well recruiting but so have a lot of coaches at A&M. While I think there's a chance Sumlin can turn the corner as a coach I really think your OC is crap. His play calling from the outside has looked horrible.

You are correct on play calling. When kingsbury left spavital was promoted and although he is a great recruiter that's a far stretch from calling plays. He in time will be a good one and looks to be headed to West Virginia. So our oc search continues....Even though TCU stepped up his pay, meachem is still the name I'm hearing for oc. We will let go of oline coach too after bowl. As far as sumlin goes he's been a good recruiter as you have said and brought in a lot of booster money but without question is on the hot seat. We have a 5 million dollar coach, half billion dollar stadium, an expensive dc in chavis that looks to turn things around so they are wanting to money whip someone who can call plays in the spread. The ironic thing about it is that is exactly what he ran at Houston and early years at A&M (air raid) then he realized we can only be so good like that and needed to be able to run in the red zone even when other teams knew we were going to run. So they have tried to switch to this zone read power run shit. Problem is we don't have that personnel right now. We've been running a 245 lb running back on outside sweeps and it's been embarrassing. He's not fast enough for that. Spavital has been calling plays and just doesn't have enough experience yet. Basically he is taking all the talent at wr and trying to divvy up catches 4-5 for each to keep happy instead of utilizing mismatches. Sumlin offered demotion job back to qb coach but spavital is to proud so he looks to hop back on with holgerson at West Virginia . Sumlin has done a piss poor job of communicating to players and boosters so people are becoming frustrated. Long story short he's coaching for his job next year. Good news for him defense will be salty next year and we have rbs who sat out from transfer playing next year so we will see. Sorry for so many tangents.
