I might be wrong but in the beginning of the article doesn't he say he agreed to work for $1.00 a year? So why does he think he deserves a bonus if he agreed to work for a dollar a year? I will also work for a dollar a year with a $700,000 bonus.

"I take this action after 11 years of dedicated, honorable service to A.I.G. I can no longer effectively perform my duties in this dysfunctional environment, nor am I being paid to do so. Like you, I was asked to work for an annual salary of $1, and I agreed out of a sense of duty to the company and to the public officials who have come to its aid. Having now been let down by both, I can no longer justify spending 10, 12, 14 hours a day away from my family for the benefit of those who have let me down."

WELL THE BONUS WAS "IN CONTRACT" if I am correct, and his point may be that they are screwing everyone to save themselves..he has worked for his allotted amount and now they are folding on the bonus that is due to the employees, just more fucking from the big boys. And I believe dude also said he will donate all monies coming to him after the taxes....dont think he needs his share just making a point to how these scumbags do things

David Faber from CNBC was saying that AIG has 2009 bonuses of over 220 million in the same contract. Where is the PHONY FOCKING OUTRAGE? TIA.

this guy has balls ... he made his deal/contract with AIG not the American tax payers... If he thinks he has somthing coming, get it from them not us... if there was no bail out .....where would AIG be ???? what would he get then ??? This is another wannabe capitalist looking for his brand of socialism... I'm surprised that no one has said it this way... if they did ... I missed it.... This guy probably thinks he's a conservative, take away his soap and water and he's just a bum.. This little cry for help has; sense of entitlement, written all over it.

He can keep his dollar that he agreed to work for. He didn't deserve the bonus. They are getting bailout money. If not for the bailout money the company would close.
