It seems too easy does it not?
I'm not so sure.

Akron has some good talent and great depth with a nice blend of senior leadership and youth. They are in the process of working true freshman Brett Mc Knight into the rotation. He was ineligible the first semester through no fault of his own but due to hangups at the NCAA clearing house, He is a good character kid from a solid family and should someday be an all MAC performer.

All that said, I really don't know how good this Zip team is and I attend every home game. They show signs of being world beaters, but sometimes appear to be just lost out there. As an example of that they certainly should have beaten Winthrop on the road but were outscored 23-3 in the final 5minutes.

Also as a side note, I think they catch Dayton at the right time. Crushing Pitt was huge and a big emotional high to be sure. I am sure that they can't match that intensity tonight, especially considering that a very solid Rhode Island team is on deck for the Flyers . It also has to be noted that the Zips have a huge revenge match-up with Miami U on saturday as well and the team and staff heve been looking forward to payback after the Redhawks miracle shot the cost Akron an NCAA bid last march.

WTF does all that mean?? I don't have a clue, just providing some food for thought. I'm not going to touch the side but should have a total play later. Just waiting for the number.

As of now
