I agree with Gravy's post. Alabama has a very strong but young team starting 5 soph. The key to this game will be the perimeter shooting of Tulsa and rebounding. Tulsa has to make their 3 pointers to win. Bama will more than likely control the boards, as they do normally, especially due to their superior size advantage over Tulsa.
Alabama is not the 65th team in the country nor is Tulsa. They both deserved to be in the tourney. Alabama should have been in period and Tulsa blew it by losing to Hawaii on their home floor in the champ. game in their tourney. I believe that Bama has the stronger team but Tulsa has proven that they can beat anybody. If Alabama plays with intensity and desire they should win the game. However, they have been known to start flat and Tulsa could easily take advantage and open a nice lead as they have in the last few games. Tough game to call.

Factors to consider:
Tulsa has won their 4 NIT games by a combined 17 pts (4,3,2,8), play in a weaker conf, played a tough non-conf sched.
rpi:61 (sos:84),
Best wins: Az St(69-67), not much else besides NIT.
Worse losses: at Rice, Hawaii(2), nothing bad.
Losses: @UNC by 10, @Iowa by 1, @Kansas by 23, Creighton by 10, Fresno by 14, @ Hawaii by 3, @TCU by 6, @SMU by 5, @Rice by 3, @Fresno by 7, Hawaii by 6.

Alabama won by combined 35 pts (6,10,8,11), tougher conf., weak non-conf sched,
rpi:51 (sos:81)
Best wins: Ole Miss, Kentucky, Georgia, Ohio St,
Worst losses: at Vandy
Losses: Cincy (Puerto Rico) by 3 OT, at Tennessee by 17, @ Arkansas by 29, @ Vandy by 6, @Miss St by 14, @ Auburn by 3 OT, @Florida by 21, Arkansas by 3, @ Ole Miss by 34, Florida (SEC tourn) by 8.

It's pretty clear that Alabama has better wins and a tougher schedule. Problem is when Alabama plays poorly they get blown out(on the road only)which could happen here. Very tough game to call. Going to go with my instinct.

My pick: Alabama-2

I know I might be considered biased since I'm from and attented Bama, but I assure the board that I am not biased when it comes to capping. Take it for what it's worth. Any thoughts on my write-up are welcome.
