Always do a recap of the National Championship game.
I honestly was going to go with Clemson and buy 3 pts to + 10 so I would have won either way.
It turned out I was too late from work and never had the chance to look at Clemson game repeats. What I did know was that Deshawn Watson could not be spied on with a LB easily because he could sling the ball into places where only his receivers could get it. Turns out that last TD was surprising to give the cover for most Clemson betters.
Clemson - When CB Alexander went down it was a huge blow. This probably had alot to do with the Tide winning this game. new guy was adequate but just not the leader they needed.
WR Renfro - Walk on dude looked like a New England player with hands to die for.
Sure wish the Falcons could get him.
Keven Dodd DE - what a fucking beast . He owned # 76 . I doubt Saben let him ride home on the bus.
Shaq Lawson - Holy shit. Guy plays with a mcl problem. I watched him at half speed but what a tremendous effort from this guy to be involved like he was. Very impressive.
Watson QB - wow . Its unfortunate that he had to take the entire game on his shoulders like he did. He got whacked in that knee so many times. What a great effort by this Sophmore.
Alabama
Drake RB - The TD kick off return through Clemson who had trouble with Special teams all year was remarkable. Dude is awesome.
Henry- Nothing to say. Top ten pick in NFL
Kiffens use of Howard was a thing of genius. Howard 208 yds and 2 TDS ... wow
I couldnt help notice during a huddle that Kiffen was talking to offense, Saben came up listening standing there. He halted then turned and walked away. It takes a big man to let his coachs do their fucking jobs.
On side Kick was bold and taken on exactly the right time. Probable shifted momentum enough at that time to win the game.
Jake Coker stunk during the first half. Clemson was manhandling line and getting to him Coker couldnt pass and the run wasnt working. Then half time. Would have loved to have heard that meeting. So Coker comes out and he has new life. Things changed and you have to give Saben that credit.
I won alot of games with Alabama this year. When they lost that game to Miss I knew one thing.
And that was that if they lost again they could say goodbye to the SEC title game, the playoff round, and the National Championship game. Knowing Saben and his teams over the years, it made the moneyline plays with the Tide easy for me. Its hard to think like that in college football as a gambler though.
I followed my set of rules , some more than others, and cashed the tickets.
I love money and it smells green.
