Stayed at a resort call Alyeska. The country was beautiful and lots to see. We did a helicopter ride to a glacier and rode sled dogs which was amazing. If you fish, you are in the mecca of halibut and salmon. We also did a river boat tour to glaciers and sites....also very cool.

The helicopter ride has been on my list for a while now so Alaska might be the perfect place for that.
Sled dog ride is tempting thanks for the suggestions!

Hi Bob—
great seeing you posting again. Hope all is well.
Are you planning on taking a tour in Alaska or just winging it?
we flew into anchorage on our last trip, rented a car and stayed in a cabin on the Kenai river, then explored the Kenai peninsula. Highlight of that trip was the cruise to the Kenai fjords to see the glaciers up close. We’ve also spent a week in Denali national park but that’s a destination on its own as it’s so far north

Hey Mike how you doing buddy! Pretty sure we'll cruise out of Seattle or Vancouver. We were thinking about going and then travel agent brought it up. Haven't done anything yet because of the other trips we have booked but will sit down with her in March and plan something. We said we would never cruise but it looks like that might be the best for this trip.

That’s awesome! I know many who have cruised Alaska and it really is a great way to experience it.
We’re planning a European vacation for 2023…now to decide where we want to go.
