Just came back from the LV strip. The MGM-Mirage
Mandalay Bay comglomerate has Wright-150, +130 back. Personally, I WAS going to pull the trigger and take the the odds on Jermain, BUT it seems it's only valid IF the fight goes off in 2006. Now that presents a lot of issues. If Taylor losses his belts, they hold your dough until it's resolved. Too many unknowns. I'd just thought I would let you guys know the line if you already do not. At any rate, what do you chaps think about the numbers?

The number is wrong IMO. Not so much because Wright shouldn't be favored but I guarantee if that number was online people would bet Taylor to be the favorite in no time. I pick Wright to win (although the judges seem to love Taylor), but I think going by the public Taylor should be favored.

seems like the media plays a part....someone writes a favorable column on morales...the line moves...someone writes an article that morales is shot...the line yo-yo`s the other way.....

It was confirmed by a sportsbook manager that, yes, the bet on Taylor-Wright at the aforementioned price was valid if the bout takes place in 2006. Great! So these guys get to hold your money for what could be 6 months, or more. I only posted this as I wanted some opinions as to what your guys take was on the price. Why is Winky the favorite? I'd say experience mostly. I still feel with a decent tune up fight, and expanded use of his jab, Taylor wins on points. Winky's defense and work ethic are outstanding. Taylor is bigger and busier. Merry X-Mas.

I won't give my opinion on the fight untill I get my money down, but I agree with MF that Talyor + money wouldn't last long
