Will a firewall protect against this?

Answer: No. A firewall will not protect against them and these spyware attachments greatly slow down your internet surfing. For more information, go to the main Web Site (or click on help after downloading the program):

LOL, did you get this straight from the help file on Ad-aware? My firewall works just fine for keeping things of this nature out of my network.

Jack, I guess that I am more challenged than I thought. I have never seen a place to continue or check off anything. The only dialog box that pops up is "Enter the name of the program manager to add icons to". I use a USB speed dial, is that what I highlight or is some other program. Sorry to ask for help and sound like I have no clue, but sadly that is the reality

dunclock,

you will need to right click on one of the files at the end of the scan and choose "select all" and then delete. It will let you know which files cannot be deleted that are critical to your operating system, etc.

Thanks Monk,

Even though I grew up in Huntsville,AL and my dad is a "really" a rocket scientist, its like when he got mad at me as a kid and said "son, the best part of you ran down your mama's leg". The best thing I know about pooters is the part half way between a ladies feet and shoulders;) :D

Just thought I would bring this thread back up I use this adaware program about weekly, and I can't believe how many cookies my computer picks up. I just don't understand how I get this crap on my computer. Anyway, this program takes care of it. I just leave the program up on my desktop and run it periodically. Thanks.

Thank you!!!

Thank you!!!

I'm not sure I even did it correctly, but for the last week I haven't been able to access certain secured sites and after running this program, it fixed whatever was the problem. Thanks for the help!!!
