Round 2 plays (2pts):

Marcus Fraser to beat Julien Quesne +100 @ Stan James [available generally]
With top-20 finishes in each of his last three starts, Fraser is playing well enough to bounce-back tomorrow. He does lie well down the leaderboard, but Carnoustie averaged over 2.6 shots harder than both courses today so he can certainly make the cut from this position and finish ahead of last week's surprise winner.

Stephen Gallacher to beat Padraig Harrington +100 @ 5Dimes
Two former winners of this title who also struggled around Carnoustie today. For Harrington that has become all-too-common with six missed cuts in his last eight starts. Gallacher, on the other hand, has finishes of 9th and 2nd in two of his last three starts, so much more likely to bounce-back on the easier Kingsbarns course.

Round 3 plays (2pts):

Joost Luiten to beat Paul McGinley +125 @ Stan James [available generally]
Fully expect Luiten to kick on from a favourable leaderboard position after 36 holes. He won his last event - the KLM Open - two weeks ago and has finished 11th or better in six of his last eight European Tour starts, including two wins. With a top-10 finish in this event already, he looks far too strong an opponent for McGinley who has just one top-10 finish in the last 15 months.

Joost Luiten to beat David Howell -150 @ Stan James
Howell fairs a little better with four top-10 finishes this year, but he is still a level below Luiten who has won twice since June; Howell hasn't won since 2006.

Ricardo Gonzalez to beat Richard McEvoy -120 @ William Hill
Opposing McEvoy who is 3rd after two rounds. The last time that he was in a similar position, he dropped from 6th to 53rd over the weekend of the 2012 Italian Open. In the twelve previous times that he has started the weekend in the top-10 on the European Tour, he has never improved his position in rd3. And given that it is ten years since he was as high on the leaderboard as he is currently, this will be an unfamiliar weekend for McEvoy and so it certainly worth opposing.

[unofficial rd3 system plays: Horsey tb Gonzalez -115; Hansen A tb Noren +100]

Round 4 plays (2pts):

David Horsey to beat Michael Hoey -115 @ 5Dimes [also available @ William Hill]
Two players in the top-20 at the moment, but given that Hoey has just one top-20 finish this year, he appears less likely to stay there tomorrow. Horsey has four top-20 in his last five starts and has finished ahead of Hoey in 10 of 14 common events in 2013, so looks good value to repeat the feat tomorrow.

Soren Kjeldsen to beat Alejandro Canizares -105 @ 5Dimes
A similarly uneven h2h match here: Kjeldsen has finished ahead of Canizares in seven of their last ten common events. Both players are tied at the moment, but currently inside the top-5 in greens in regulation, Kjeldsen is clearly playing better than his opponent and should continue his domination of this matchup.

Mark Foster to beat Alejandro Canizares -105 @ Bet365
And here, though to a smaller degree: Foster has finished ahead of Canizares in four of their last five common events. But this is also a chance to oppose a player who has a poor rd4 record - he averages 72 on Sundays in 2013, which almost two shots higher than Foster.
