Ok here's the situation. My sister lives in Florida but would like to move back to Texas. My ex brother in law is an exec with a big corp and has to pay her a lot of money, I think partly because Florida laws favor the lady. My question is, would she lose any of the alimony if she brought my nephew to Dallas to live? They both hate Florida and want to be back herre but she can't afford to go without the money he gives her.

Thanks in advance,
Wood

AR, I know that's what I told her to do but she said she's tired of giving him money.

I'll tell her to look at the settlement and see if it says.

the best thing to do is have your sister speak to her lawyer....

That's crazytalk. He can get all the accurate information he needs from all the experts on complicated alimony cases right here at madjacks!

Even Jack himself yesterday got some helpful advice on where to find a money order and kellyindallas basically lets the folks here guide her life.

So ya see.

If she keeps that up soon she will be looking for and liking those large maxi-pads that you have quoted in sig:142smilie :mj07:

most of the time you can't take the kid(s) out of the state without permission from the other parent. especially if they are taking the kids out of the state to live.

Nothing personal here but......

This is a family civil matter for a nominal fee you can consult a florida attorney who will give you legal information.

Why in gods name are you asking a bunch of gambling degenerates ? :mj07:

One step away (not sure which way) from taking advice on an issue like this from madjack posters would be to retain some lawyer that 'dickiesports' refers.

Fort Myers has the largest population of white trash in all of Florida.

Just because this city and county is a Republican stronghold doesn't mean that there is a lot of white trash here. Stop buying into the stereotypes.

And this lawyer that you mention is from Davie, right? And you're talking about 'white trash' cities? Classic! lmao

how about getting a job and actually working for a change, if she wants to move out of state

too many lazy people in the US want a free ride off their ex-husband or the gov't
