the one girl was about a foot or so away from being decapitated by that liftgate...

another thing the peds were crossing on red light .............. wake up people this could happen anywhere and the situtaion could be worse like garden weasel said one was feet away from being decapitated by the lift gate.
error i noticed light was green! thought cars were stopped in center it was just the one car speeding that nailed the van making a left turn
BUT state law in every state is to yield to all peds when turning in any intersection.
If van driver waited until the peeps were across the street they would have avoided the speedster.
