who sits and watches games for a few weeks before betting college football.....im not being a wise ass or sarcastic...a genuine question to see if others do the same???..cooz

I do the same. I risk a big % of my bankroll on each play, so I want to be confident on who I play. Waiting is smart.

It's not a bad idea, but some of us don'thave the patience you have:shrug:

It's kinda like if you havent had :moon: in 6 months, its hard to wait for a supermodel to come along ... I know, its a pretty effed up analogy.

Seriosuly, though, there is a positive to playing the first weeks games: I find its easier to read the lines and who the public teams are/ who they're begging you to bet on.

cooz I agree that smart money sits and watchs a few weeks. No way to read what teams will do this early.

Waiting is a smart idea but most important I think whatever works for that individual. Oh well!!! let him do it.
I for one cannot control myself I love football and since day one I have been going to town.

The other side of that coin is that decent research and line shopping can find some very soft lines early in the year. Until teams get dialed in, books have the same problems setting lines as we have picking them.
