I think these big purses and endorsements are making these fatcats lazy.You got Duval budding up with Tiger and coincidently he's the 1st playing Nike irons this week and misses cut.Serves him right. Hometown boy K Perry has contract with with Taylor made for over decade.Lets it slip in interview several days ago he played Titlist new ball,they heard about it and cancel his $200,000 plus contract immediately.
Along Boris's lines bout Tiger.He has brought more money to table for golf.Don't think that is necessarily good.Has got more of John Q Public involved in golf.Good for thegame? Not in my opinion.What was once gentlemans sport has turned to typical everyday sport with gallerys approaching gallery closely resembling foots crowds.Was noted by fashion retail in survey for rank of most popular shirt worn on public courses and winner was the T-Shirt for 1st time ever.

Don't know if it has impacted UK yet but aside from Masters we haven't a true traditional golf event left.IMHO
