First, lets get this photo tribute out of the way for sun tzu:

haleyyd5.jpg

it's country week. no offense, but i don't care. i'm not a fan. martina mcbride will be there. i'd say who, but i do know the name, but if she walked by me on the street i would have no clue.

last week was kind of funny. ai knew it had leaks and purposely put out lakisha. all the leakers got eaten alive. glad it didn't cost me a penny, as you would have to be nuts to lay -500 on one single elimination. i do however have melinda -500 to last longer than the fat girl.

my portfolio consists of :

50 shares of blake
50 shares of jordin

sanjay over phil
sanjay over chris r

thats it for now. i've done real well this year on last longers and eliminations and will make money in the market and am happy with my 2 selections there.

i still don't think melinda has a good chance of winning this. she would be a disaster to market.

as for tonights song spoilers, here they are, although i don't know about their complete validity as who knows who is leaking what these days. could be completely wrong for all i know, but i'll post nonetheless:

1. Phil Stacey - "Ain't Goin' Down Till The Sun Goes Up" by Garth Brooks
2. Jordin Sparks - "You're Still The One" by Shania Twain
3. Sanjaya Malakar - "Boot Scootin Boogie" by Brooks & Dunn
4. Lakisha Jones - "Concrete Angel" by Martina McBride
5. Chris Richardson - "Over And Over" by Nelly and Tim McGraw
6. Melinda Doolittle - "Why Haven't I Heard From You" by Reba McEntire
7. Blake Lewis - "Come A Little Closer" by Dierks Bentley

If Sanjay really does Boot Scoot Boogie, that would be awesome. Again, i haven't heard of any of the other songs.

I guess I would advise a play on Phil being elminated, but I won't play it as I have consistently failed to predict how many homosexual males are voting for this guy.

Dumb question, but..

Dumb question, but..

is that a legit picture of Hailey, or photoshop?

I find it hard to believe that she'd rehearse, much less perform, in that outfit...

Although Simon would like it - and Seacreast wouldn't know what to do with it...

Not much reason for a straight guy to watch this anymore. Gays have to be loving it. That Jorden has possibiities but after her it is just a festival of gayness. Not that there's anything wrong with that.

Mags, its a photoshop for sure

Stevie, i agree with you. i'm having a real hard time this season watching. it's brutal. the contestants are ugly and boring, and the themes are ruining the show. latin night? martina mcbride night? diana ross night? wtf. garbage.

I don't like any of them.

Once again, I didn't watch the show yet, so have no idea what happened. Had to get the Wild a win at home last night...very fun to watch.

I am shaking with the anticipation of seeing Sanjaya doing Boot Scootin' Boogie. That has to be the most embarrassing thing ever...

I saw where Chris did a Rascal Flats song...I thought he probably would as his voice and nasality is very similar to their lead singer, and I would assume he could pull that off. Interested to see Blake do a Bentley song...not familiar with it, but he is currently very hot on the country scene, and seems like that would be another smart pick for Blake.

Any feedback on who will go home? I wouldn't think Phil could pull off that Garth song very well. Maybe this is the week we get rid of him - or dare I say it...Sanjaya? I still think his vote totals will remain pretty constant and others will rise due to attrition. Hopeful, anyway.

Sanjaya and Chris were by far the worst. I see no redeeming value in the show at all. But, then again, I don't have any action on it.

Chadman,

the song list I posted was wrong. I think the leaks are sealed and no one is getting any anytime soon.

Jordin was by far the best last night in my opinion. I just hate Melinda but I'll admit she was good. Still don't think she wins.

If I had to guess I'd say the bottom 3 is Lakisha, Sanjay, and maybe Chris R. although he will get the Virginia sympathy vote.

Gun to my head, I'd say its a toss up between Lakisha and Sanjay to go home, probably Lakisha, but again I have zero knowledge.

I'm happy with my positions on Blake and Jordin and still hold that it will be the finale, but it will be close with my last longers with Sanjay over Chris R and Phil. Might win Chris R, but probably not Phil. I way underestimated the gay vote and how much he is still getting votes for his prefinal footage as a dad and navy guy.

And yes, the show does suck this year.

BDB, in regards to your 50 shares of blake and 50 shares of jordin, do you anticipate selling off some of these in the next few weeks to lock in a profit or are you going to ride these hopefully to the final 3 and adjust as each week progresses? I have a portfolio somewhat similar, about 65 of blake and 40 of jordin. not sure what to do with them at the moment. i bought jordin at 15-16 and blake at 14. was thinking chris is probably gone this week and that lakisha/sanjaya/phil should be gone before either of these people are knocked out. let me know your thoughts if you have a moment, thanks again!

Hoops, looks we are in very similar positions. Neither is going home tonight, and it's something we have to monitor closely throughout the next few weeks. Personally, I think there is zero chance that one of these two doesn't make the finales. In an ideal world, and I still think both make the final 3 and hopefully the finale. I think for sure they make the top 4 and then re-evaluate. I'm not doing anything for the next couple weeks unless they bomb a performance. I'd hold for at least two or 3 weeks and then we'll talk again. We just need Phil to die.

fwiw, which may be nothing, i have a friend in the dc area, who's been hauntingly close to alot of bdb's predictions/leaks.

this week she has heard that tonight's bottom 3 are chris r, phil, and lakisha - with phil going home.

she doesn't wager on it, she's just tuned in like a freak, and communicates with someone who works for FOX.

these leaks may now be shut down or false.

not going out on a limb with this, but i think melinda is by far the best, and i do think she has a marketable future to sell millions. i see her and jordin in the final.

I think the most marketable one is Blake. He doesn't necassarily blow people away week after week, but he never F's up either. He just keeps flying just under the radar and will stick around and let it rip when it comes down to it. He understands how to dress, he has the most rythem of any3 people on the show, and the rebel voters will vote for him because of the tattoos.........I also have to believe that more girls vote than do little boys, I also think that is a plus for Blake as the eliminations continue. Only my 2 cents, but I did just put 100.00 on Blake at 4-1 at my book. ............I'll pay to see:shrug:

I just watched them on youtube. Jordin was the best I thought. What happened to Blake's beat box??? That's what was so good and original about him. His performance sucked ass with that stars go blue bs.
