It has been a short week for Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series drivers, including Martin Truex Jr. The driver of the No. 78 Bass Pro Shop Toyota out of Furniture Row Racing left Bristol Motor Speedway with a penalty for a loose lug nut. The weather shortened the race week as the Bristol event ran a day late on Monday.
Truex says that the season is shaping up well for him and his team. The efforts so far have garnished the driver several race-stage wins as well as sitting in the Cup Series standings in the third spot. Even with the year going so well in 2017 the driver admitted he hoped for better results at Bristol.
