I live a nine iron from Monmouth Park race track, when it opens I will host a bbq there for all madjackers in the area that can make it. They have a great picnic area there, mind you it's no Saratoga, but it will do. I'll supply the food and beer. I can reserve an entire picnic area or just a few tables. They open Memorial day weekend and I will have a perfect attendace record this year with the possible exception of two weeks in August. Any out of town guests that need info for a great summertime weekend let me know.

Sounds like a good time...my girl is from NJ (W. Patterson) and I'm from NY (Westchester County) and we come up every year to visit. We haven't been to the shore in a while and this sounds like it would be a pretty cool thing to do. Both of us have never been to a horse race.

Cool Smash...I'm 30 and she's 32. I looked at the track web site and it said that The Holiday Inn at Tinton Falls is the host hotel, is this place decent?

Yea it's fine. There are a load of good hotels in a 5 mile radius.

It really looks like a nice place from the pics on the site. How are the beaches up in that area? I've only been to Seaside/Wildwood before.

The beaches are pretty nice. There has been alot of sand replenishment the last few years up here, so they all got big. The track is 5 mins from the ocean. 20 minutes south of that is Belmar. Good restaurants bars and great shore area.

Smashmouth , Monmouth is a beautiful park as I remember it . been about 10-15 years since I been back thatway) if "form" holds true , any Madjackers that have never been there before are in for a treat . I grew up about an hour south of there. Sounds like a GREAT idea !! ... one request , if you people do get together , PLEASE take a digital camera , seeing photos of those who make MADJACKS special is ALWAYS a treat !!! Best of luck . I live in NYC but grew up at the jersey shore in Fair Haven. I lived in Sea Bright for a year out of college (3 years ago). This year I have a beach house in Manasquan (beach front) its on the corner of fisrt ave and brielle rd. If all the madjackers come to MP for the day/ weekend, I would be more then happy to host a beach BBQ. Let me know as the time ticks down. -whoopie
