The company is too big to give a shit about anyone.
With 15.5 million subs......they don't care.

NOPE!

Read your fine print if you subscribe to this POS service.

DirecTv sucks. I went round and round with them for a year. They finally were willing to send someone out when I told them to cancel my service....FUCK YOU.

Directv has terrible customer service, and even worse since AT&T took over.

A couple of years ago my Extra Innings was not working right. I went round and round with them for weeks and they finally got it fixed. Well they said that they would give me HBO for a year for the inconvenience
I look at my bill the next month and of course they charged for HBO.

I would switch, but I really enjoy the Extra Innings package.

Oh Yeah, I got a new roof on my house a few months ago and roofers ditched my dish with my blessing and I tried streaming, canceled dtv, I hate streaming with a passion, its good for bullshit tv, but for sports its not fast enough to keep up with the action, last night football game was lagging, even with the best internet service they offer, 4K roku and the best equipment money can buy, new router and modern modem

I called them to re-install a new dish and to re-start my account. I have had two no-shows so far and no call or text saying they were not coming. I am sure I was recorded last Saturday I called and was screaming and cussing them out for not showing up, I am probably a training call now, I was pissed I stayed home all damn day and nobody showed up

I have an appointment tomorrow morning from 8-12. 3rd time is the charm or three strikes you are out.

anyone that says streaming is better than satellite is crazy, it is not

I was with dtv for 20 years and get treated like this

What in the fine print set you off?

Ordered DirecTV last year before NFL. Got the Direct Choice plan at $74.99 including NFL Sunday Ticket. She said I had to commit to 2 years. Just found out before I started this thread that my plan goes to $115 per month for the 2nd year and does not include NFL Sunday ticket. I can add NFL ST for $65.99 per month for 6 months or 1 time payment of $395.94.

That's what I get for not reading the small print. If I want to cancel before the 2 years is up I can pay $20 per month for the remaining months after I return all the equipment.

I'd say that's some bullshit right there.

Okay, it's my fault. BUT FUCK THEM.

This got me checking into to NFL ST, as we get it yearly.

Currently we pay 89.00 per month for our channels with ALL HBOs free for life.

With CHOICE Package or above (min. $74.99/mo. for 12 mo. before discounts; Prices higher in 2nd year. Regional Sports Fee up to $9.99/mo. applies). 24-mo. agreement required. Req?s you to select offer.

PRICES HIGHER IN 2nd YEAR but they don't say how high!!!

Thanks for the heads up :0074

On the phone now.

If I took their "OFFER" it would only save me $47.82.

Not worth the hassle. I'll pay the $395.94

IMO and experience Cox Cable is way worse than Direct TV.

So today I get a call from AT&T saying there is a deal for NFL Sunday Ticket. Instead of $400 for this year they will give me ST for $200 PLUS give me 50% off my regular monthly bill for the next 2 years. NO CONTRACT!

This phone call took at least 20 minutes because I didn't want to get hit with fine print bullshit again.

There IS a catch. I have to pay the next 6 months in full. Upfront. After the 6 months I will go back to regular billing but at half price. Okay, count me in.

Not only do I have to pay the 6 months upfront but I have to use an eBay debit card because they are sponsoring this deal. And I have to do it TODAY!

HUH?

Sorry, I'm not doing it today. That's okay, I can do it tomorrow, I was told. But if I do it today I save another $60. I told the guy I would do it tomorrow.

An even longer story cutting short here. It's a fucking scam and they almost got me. If they would have taken a credit card or debit over the phone I would have given him that right away.

Then I hit Google up and sure enough. it's a scam.
