Future/Prop Won Entertainment Futures Awards The 92nd Annual Academy Awards 2020 Boong Joon Ho (Parasite) +500 for To Win ~ Best Director

Saw the movie Parasite..only saw one other besides Once upon a time" academy awards ...read few articles that Boong had no chance vs 1917 and Once upon a time... oh wait.. I did see 1917..really liked the other 2 movies better but the message in Parasite was way to heavy.. Actually thought it was about a Korean parasite killing off people.. no spoilers but its about class culture in Korean society.. I thought about the great Italian director Fedrico Fellini..all his movies were critically acclaimed and acting was unreal... I loved his movies but had no idea what the hell did I see.. so many messages and themes that if Cliff notes had a movie breakdown you still didn't understand what the hell you saw... Parasite is a dark comedy and really hard to explain.. I know someone that saw it and hated it...but I thought of Fedrico and his movies about class struggle and life in Italy... so when I saw that you can bet on the academies I decided to make a bet.. Rider probably lost again and found out Tex St top scorer Pearson didn't play in the Appa St game because he girl friend had his baby...but Tex St was up by 18 at he half. So didn't miss Pearson at all.... but we sure missed him in the 2nd half as Appa st came back to win the game by 2 ...
anyway after reading so many articles that Tarentino or Mendes would win best director and the odds were -200 or -205 I took Boong... long shot but think these academy know it alls would like a black comedy from a foreign film with sub titles.. when they announced Boong won I guess I jumped a little to much.. my wife sitting next to me asked "wow,aren't you a little excited "... I pretended to stop cheering and my wife said " I don't really think he should of got that award... I responded and said " I thought it was a masterpiece" Class struggle in Korean society.. can't wait for Parasite 2 to come out"..
Baylor -6 over Texas ****
Not sure how Texas can forget saturdays horror show vs Tech.. up 16 or more at half and get blown out...on 3 consecutive plays to win or tie the game Coleman beats his man to the basket..and on all 3 Tex Tech helpside defender leaves his man and blocks Colemans shot.. Tech gets possessions and makes the pts to win by 5 or 6.. same play high screen and Coleman drives.. Beard and Tech defenders saw it coming.. so did the 8,000 Texas fans and 9,000 Tech fans there...brutal loss for Texas ...well now Texas has to get ready for the No ! team in the country tonight...Texas one star Sims who has been playing great was lost vs Tech.. he had 2 pts 2 rebounds and fouled out...Ferbes there 3 pt shooter who justs shoot and shoots is out tonight...
in there 1st match up Baylor won 59-44..Simms had a big game scoring 13 pts and 15 bds.. but after him Baylor defense stopped the Longhorns cold..Ramey was the only other double digit scorer with 11..they shot 3-16 from the 3..
Baylor is solid on defense..best in the B-12 and ranked 5th in the country...meanwhile Texas on offense is ranked in the 300's ,and in the 200-300's in FG% 3 Pt %,FT% and rebounding..big time scoring.. Texas defense is pretty good though..but rebounding is a problem..Butler and Teague are solid gds that can shoot and drive.. Vital does it all and Gillespie at 6'9 is tough inside...and Clarke who is 6'10 and weighs in at 240 comes off the bench..this team plays relentless defense .. but they struggled with Ok St the other day...their offense is good enough to beat a Texas but there is no way they are the best team in the country..but they are tonite and getting a scare vs Ok St only helps them..Texas d gave up 19 pts in 1st half on saturday vs Tech and 49 in the 2nd half..Baylor starts 4 gds tonite in Vital, Butler,Mitchell and Teague...Teague is the best player out there...not sure how Tex defends these 4 ...think Baylor gets a double digit away win and probably won't hold them to 44 like the last time they played but Baylor will score more then they did last time..
