To those who don't feel like clicking on the link.... a quadriplegic in Florida is suing a gentlemen's club because their private room where lap dances are performed is not wheelchair accessible!

VaNurse,

Why do you think it is a frivolous lawsuit?

The only money he is asking for is to pay for his attorney's fees.He wants the clubs to be disability friendly, like restaurants & other public places.I guess he wants the right to be like everyone else.......smutty !!LOL

Looks like VANurse likes to ride the popular wave of hating "greedy lawyers" without knowing the facts. Once again, sensationalistic media headlines forever, true facts never.

Think before writing,

Eddie, getting to be, the impatient.

Eddie, do I detect a hint of guilt, or is it paranoia? I didn't say, nor imply, anything about "greedy lawyers"! I simply think the courts have better things to argue than whether or not a quadriplegic gets a lapdance. I work, daily, with people who are disabled and absolutely don't begrudge them free and open access to public establishments.

I do, however, think it's a little suspect to have three concurrent lawsuits initiated by one person who has problems with his disability. Let's be realistic! What's next? An ADA suit by a blind man who can't grope the dancers to see what they look like??

I've done a little more reading on the topic and find that this gentlemen didn't even advise the management of the establishment that he had a problem and they never had the opportunity to rectify the situation before he initiated his lawsuit! The courts should be the last resort of remedy, not the initial complaint.:nono:
