No argument on '64?

Undefeated Arkansas beat Texas, which beat Bama in the Sugar Bowl. Why should the AP and UPI polls, done before the bowl games, be given more weight than the FWAA, which voted after the bowl games? FWAA should carry more weight.

And in '73, Notre Dame won the AP, which was voted on after the bowl games, unlike the UPI that year.
