sources at the mandalay bay confirmed that tiger woods walked off with more then a quarter-million in one sitting over the weekend, and failed to leave change to even buy a cup of coffee.
also his party of over 15 didnot tip for 3 hours worth of free drinks.
now this is just flat out scumbag cheap.

Hey Fletch,
I don't know if you caught it on the Richard Williams thread a while back but it was said that none of the junior players liked Tiger as a junior.Actually not liked was an under-statement.

I doubt that you have to take much time to explain things to people who 'wonder why you're a racist'.

Black, White or a little Green man from Mars, CHEAP IS CHEAP. All that freaking money he has already and can't even leave a tip. Hell, I tip at least a dollar for every drink and they couldn't even do that????? I'll never root for him again that is for sure. I'd like to see him play at a table with that Aussie TV Mogul who tips cars and such. Might learn some class. Wishful thinking.

I dropped the note about everyone hating Tiger, and like I said, hate is being kind.

Another Eldrick note. I was playing with a buddy of mine this weekend in LA -- a guy that played with Tiger at Stanford. We saw Jerry Chang at the course, y'know, the guy Tiger caddied for, Tiger's "best friend" and his partner at the Pebble Pro Am. So we get to talking about what Chang is up to. Apparently he was going to play professionally over in Korea but his sponsors were jerking him around. So he calls Eldrick to ask for a sponsorship in Korea until his sponsors come through. In typical Eldrick style, Chang is told no, he'd have to line up his own sponsors.

Hope Eldrick has fun spending all that money by himself.

With friends like that...

BTW, Chang set the course record playing it blind.

Since Mickelson and Woods are so friggin' tight, do you suppose this is a trait among the top golfers in the world? If I quit tipping dealers do you suppose it might improve my golf game? What I stop tipping altogether, get a really bad attitude towards people, roll my collar up and wear a Nike hat? Can I finally get that handicap down into single digits? Hell, if that's what it takes, then move over Dickelson, and watch out Tiger, I can be just as obnoxious as the next guy.

The thing that the cheap ones don't realize that is if they get that reputation then you never know what might make it's way into their drinks or food. That is if they show up in the same place again.

That is sad. Nothing else I can think of. Anyone of those dudes. I guess they cant remember when they were the little guy. Or is it they give. But only when they get the attention when doing so. Like to a charity. Giveing some one a 5 or 10 buck tip gets no return. Should have been a grand left there for a few folks to split.

I also read an article about two years ago about Kevin Garnett. They interviewed Domino's delivery drivers who said that when he first moved to Minny, they uded to fight with one another to see who got to make the delivery. Now the manager has to threaten to fire them to get them to deliver to him because he gives NOTHING, ZERO, not even the change due. Add antoher one to the list.

Chuck DiRocco of Gaming Today wrote about a year ago that Jordan walked away with 2.7 mil(Mirage or Bellagio, I think) in BJ. Dunno if he tipped or not. I did hear that Bill Gates never carries cash for tips in Seattle because he feels he has done so much for the city already. I know Shaq tips like a madman at Jerry's and you guys probably already know about Scottie "No Tippin" Pippen.

I think I read too many entertainment mags

No tippin' Pippen is the worst of all time. I heard a story about him once here in Portland that was sickening. Can't remember the details enough to lay it on ya but it was horrible. Guy ended up not even wanting to pay for his meal and it was all about a conflict of what channel he wanted the tv on. I used to deliver to his building and it took everything I had not to prank the guy on his call box. LOL
