Could be sticky for Hokies:

Hokies will find it tough sledding on the ground vs. Nation's #1 ranked rush defense. A&M is allowing 1.08 YPC, and 67 YPG.

Neither team defends the pass well, but A&M has the much better secondary. That could also pose problems for QB Bryan Randall who is not a very good passer.

A&M is very paltry on offense and VT has very good defense.

Texas A&M #4 in total Defense while Hokies are #34.

Kyle Field is a very big home field advantage very much like Lane Stadium.

Texas A&M also leads the nation in turnover margin.

The line is very close and I would not be suprised to see Texas A&M pull this one out. VA Tech is very good, but it is always hard to win on the road. The Big 12 is not very good this year and I have Vt as my #2 team in power ratings. If you want the easy money take a look at USC and KSU. USC will eat these guys alive too.

Good luck, and thanks for the baseball contributions this year.

If A&M can keep their defense off the field it will most likely come down to a field goal either way. If they don't the Aggie D-line which is very talented, but very thin will wear down and it will spell trouble. Keeping the ball will depend on the Aggie receivers as I do not believe A&M will have much success running the ball. I'm pretty sure they will have their opportunities, however they like to drop those opportunities. Either way A&M will never ever be a good bet against as a home underdog. 1996 was the last time they didn't cover as a home dog I believe, and there were times when I thought they were much more overmatched than this. Every time I start to think there is no way Virginia Tech could lose to A&M I just look at the Pittsburgh/Virginia Tech boxscore from last year.

Just wait for the at Baylor, at Kansas and at Oklahoma state games, when they'll be favored by more points than they can score.

"the bunker"
a+ m to limited on offense

a+ m to limited on offense

if we`re talkin` the same a+m team that struggled past pitt(who in turn struggled past a bad uab team)then,i think -3 is a gift...chalk up one score(or a set-up for a score)to tech special teams...there may also be a speed differntial....

How does this look easy? VPI is a power rushing team; A&M is usually among the most physical teams in the country. This is about as bad a matchup as the Hokies could find.

We also have VPI going on the road for the first time after three comfortable home wins, and the home field advantage at Kyle Field is significant.

I figured VPI would be favored by 2.5; the line is 3. No surprise there.

Beamer vs. Slocumb. That alone is worth a few extra points for Tech.

My buddy Frankie the Yankee LOVES the Hokies here, just like he LOVED the Titans on Sunday and the Wolverines on Saturday, etc. When Frankie likes it, you need to look real closely at taking the other side.

After what I've seen ov VT this year they should paste A & M. Aggies do have a big homefield advantage, but the fans can't come onto the field to make plays. Virginia Tech will win by 2 TD's or more in my opinion as A & M will have trouble scoring points. 24-10 type final score for the Hokies.

Think that Yak has the right take here. Wouldn't take A&M at Blacksburg if they were getting 14 points, but won't take Tech here as a Fave. Home field advantage is worth more at some schools than it is is at others. Better games to play.

We all have been in this forum way to long to underestimate the power of the public. This line is where it is so the public will take Tech, 3 easy wins for them all at home. The line is set so the bookies make the money, sure it makes sense to some of us but the so called squares will be all over Tech. Myself NO PLAY the Aggies still have to prove some things to me great defensively as I watched the Pitt game but Tech manhandled Marshall and I would rather keep my money for another day. I would play Tech but I have been bitten more than once by this kind of line if Tech is that good then why only 3 points. Nortcoast has Aggies as dog of the week and his college preview has Tech 3rd at best in Big East behind Miami and BC, I think BC +26 is a gift I play my money there. Good Luck regardless
