I could search the old threads but things keep changing (I think).

I don't watch much TV so it will be mainly for watching sports in my office, so I don't think I want to go crazy on price. Hoping to keep it $1000 or less.

1st question - I have room on the wall where I'm putting it for two 50". Should I just get another 50" or should I replace the one I have for bigger? I lean on getting bigger but hell, I'm fine with 50" and even smaller. I'm not that picky like some of you are.

Now....what do I get?

Thanks :0008

I just measured from my face to the screen and it's 9 feet.

fantastic 65'' for under a $1,000.00 at both Costco and Sams with great extended warranty

90 return policy...you will get that nowhere else.

LG and TCL are highly thought of in these sizes.

many good reviews on Utube..."best tv for the money"

Stay away from UHD and get OLED.

Also, you might get advice as to brands.....some will say "Don't buy this brand because it sucks."

It's advice not worth listening to. A brand changes manufacturers often. So from year to year.....the parts and process used to make the TV are different.

Consumer Reports says to look at which brands are offering their own warranty. Some offer a free 3 year in home warranty (some could be 4 or 5 years) and this means a tech is sent to your house at no additional cost to you during that time frame. It is understood that these companies wouldn't offer such a warranty if they didn't have a stellar manufacturer backing them up.

If you take into consideration everything above......you'll hear "this brand sucks or that brand is the best".....none of what people say matters.....especially if you ask them what year they bought their TV.....many times they say 10 years ago or whatever. That brand has changed manufacturers 3 to 6 times by then.

Lastly, I'm not a huge Consumer Reports fan but what they said about warranties makes sense.

There is no way in hell I'm spending $3K plus for a television. Nope. I've made it 65 years without OLED just fine. :0008

I was j/k .......... go to Costco.com and find one within your budget and tap on reviews. Technology on TV's are so advanced now, you can get serious quality for 1K now days, unless you go way up in size. I get more from reading the reviews than I do talking to a sales person who is trying to up sale you! JMO :0008
