Funny thing. Recently a black kid got (accidentally, but negligently) shot by a transit cop in the East Bay and there have been a lot of protests about this. The most interesting result is when they combine the police shooting, anti-Israel, and no on 8 protests into one ball of fun.

Funny thing. Recently a black kid got (accidentally, but negligently) shot by a transit cop in the East Bay and there have been a lot of protests about this. The most interesting result is when they combine the police shooting, anti-Israel, and no on 8 protests into one ball of fun.

But, yes that was one of them. Furthering the "humor" of all this is hipster yuppie white kids, or scruffy alternative white kids running around causing trouble as if they are the ones being oppressed.

I've heard (but not confrmed) that that specific protest you linked, was started with good intentions, but got co-opted by some anti-capitalist/anarchists from Berkeley. Some of these protests make pathetic bed-fellows.

That being said, some of these world or local events ARE worth protesting in some way. It is just the extreme elements that turn things into a freak show. :shrug:
